| love the new school | | 2008-05-21 13:29:00 | | Things have been hectic here the last couple of weeks. Plus I haven't been feeling the greatest and have days I have to drag myself out of bed in the mornings.
Last Thursday, JayLyn had her echo. I think this is the first one I haven't been a nervous wreck before hand. Dr said everything looks awesome that everything is growing well. He said everything looks so good that she doesn't have to | | By: Dragonfly Kisses & Butterfly Zoos

| | Give Your Child A Healthy Start To The New School Year | | 2007-10-14 21:59:33 | | The main reason we see thousands of cases of colds and flu throughout children can mostly be attributed to lax hygiene and parents who permit their children to attend school when they are sick. Millions of school attendance days and adult work days are lost each year due to schoolchildren becoming ill. Kids in school can also get and give strep throat, conjunctivitis (pinkeye), and impetigo. Because of the fact that one sick child can easily infect ten or more other children, parents with children who are sick should keep them at home. Sneezing, drooling, or touching an object transfers germs to the next person who picks up or touches that object. To reduce this problem, basic hygiene is needed. Studies have proven that kids catch fewer colds after they are taught to wash their hands regularly and their toys are disinfected three times a week. It is necessary to teach your children to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, and then to throw the tissue away | | By: Health Care Guide | | |

| | Count Down To A New School Year. | | 2007-08-20 23:04:25 | | I don't hate school..but i just thought this was cute. URGHH.. another year and summer gone. 15 days and counting. Sort of excited because I'm going to be so busy with AVID, A Cappella Choir, Dance and yhea.. I have lots to do. I sorta can't wait to get started. Summer felt so short, felt like just a blink of the eye. I just can't stand waking up 4:30am to go to my dance class, but I got to do it. It's gets easier after awhile. I wanna join 3 clubs, just because. I also have community service..which I haven't started yet.. but I have until my Senior year to get 100 hours in. I do have a plan, that's for sure. If I don't get all A's this year, I will DIE! It's hard work, but it's important to me. Just as important as my singing. I'm learning a song called "A Dream is A Wish" for my audition. It's going really well. I just hope that when I audition, I don't get nervous and forget all the words..lol. I really want the be a singer, more than ever before. I'm on my way! What I'm Up ToWell, as I wrote, I'm planning to call up the record company that's interested in me. I just want to make sure when I go, everything will be PERFECT. Practice makes perfect..right?...and if you have a dream..never be afraid to follow it. YOU CAN DO IT! | | By: The Life of Abdiel | | |

A unique garden to show teachers the benefits of taking learning outside the classroom and bring the environment to life for young people, is to be exhibited at this July's world-famous Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. The innovative ?250,000 project, funded by the Department for Education and Skills, is being developed by television landscape designer Chris Beardshaw. He will work with hundreds of children from twenty schools, which are to be selected from across England to contribute design ideas and advise him on how gardens can play an important part in their education... | | By: The Flower Expert - Flowers Encyclopedia
| | Quality Education - Mainstreaming Autism-Spectrum Disorders (ASD) - update 10/23/06 Rough Start to new School Year | | 2006-10-23 16:55:00 | | qualityg for a while has been working with special education children in an educational school system environment. My primary focus is children with Autism-Spectrum Disorders (ASD)Both Newsweek and Time Magazines did articles this month (May 2006) on the subject. There is so much misconception about these disabilities it is frighten especially when it comes to mainstreaming these children into general education settings.I’m not going to get into the debate of whether or not they should be in a general education class because it is the law, and being a law each child should have the right to learn in the best possible environment. The biggest problem in the schools is the lack of education/understanding of these disabilities from the general education teachers, administrators, special education teachers and aides. There will be no shortage of children with this disability coming into your schools, just people who are trained. If you don't believe me check with your elementary special | | By: qualityg says ... | | |
