New Zealand tourism operators encouraged to woo Chinese
    2008-04-18 11:41:00
In the TNZ-run magazine Tourism News issued on Tuesday, TNZ regional manager for North Asia Mark Frood said many New Zealand tourism operators were waiting to see where the China market was headed. "But we can't afford to wait," he said. "It is moving fast and if New Zealand is not in there, if we don't have a good, solid presence to help the Chinese understand what we are about as a destination, our ability to attract this market will become much more difficult," he said. Tourism New Zealand said New Zealand attracted only 0.6 percent (122,000) of the 39.8 million Chinese who traveled every year. They stayed in New Zealand for three days on average, spent a total of 337 million NZ dollars (265 million U.S. dollars) with an average spending of 3240 NZ dollars, and most were satisfied with their New Zealand holidays.

Top Wine Lists: Australia And New Zealand
    2008-02-22 16:17:00
Many tend to lump Australia and New Zealand together as the great Down Under, but as all oenophiles know, their wines--and their restaurant wine lists--are worlds apart.Though wine lists in both countries tend to be regional, Australia produces wines --like shirazes--that can age gracefully, while New Zealand's sassy sauvignon blancs do not.An Aussie wine list will likely have some vintage to it, while a Kiwi wine list is likely to be, well, green.

They invent new sports or thrill activities all the time. Bungee jumping started here. There are two competing adventure capitals - one on the North Island, Rotorua, and one on the South Island, Queenstown. Both have most of the same thrill adventures, so you don't have to go to both places. However, the best of each type are not all in one location.

    Breathtaking New Zealand
    2007-12-14 23:47:00
Dubbed as the youngest country on earth because it was the last land mass to be discovered, New Zealand’s awesome landscapes, lush forests, amazing wildlife and pleasant climate make it a haven for many outdoor activities, and a great place to unwind. In fact UNESCO has recognized 3 areas as world’s heritage sites which mean that these places (Tongariro National Park, Te Wahipounamu and the Subantarctic Islands) are considered and recognized as having outstanding natural and cultural value for everyone. Active volcanoes, ancient native forests, prehistoric glaciers, snow-covered Alps have been internationally recognized as irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration.Multi-cultural, diverse, stunning, pristine, young… These are just some of the words used to describe New Zealand. I have a lot of friends, former officemates, who have moved to New Zealand together with their families, to work and live there. They have described the country so beautifully that I begun to develop a romantic affinity over the place. According to them pictures could not even do justice to the beauty of its landscapes. But New Zealand is not just all mountains and landscapes, it has bustling and modern cities as well, which are described as diverse, sophisticated, and multicultural. In fact New Zealand is one of the world’s most favorite travel destinations. There are 3 popular cities Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Auckland is New Zealand’s biggest city, while Wellington is the capital. On the other hand, Christchurch is known as “The Garden City” because of its well-established expansive parks and public gardens.Wellington New ZealandTraveling to New Zealand is made easier by online booking services. Cheaperthanhotels NZ makes it easier to look for Auckland Hotels, Wellington Hotels, and Christchurch Hotels. In fact it can provide listings of New Zealand hotels ranging from budget accommodations to luxury hotels. Here you can search and find prices on accommod

    Goodbye Tahiti, Hello New Zealand
    2007-12-09 14:48:01
I spent my last night in Tahiti couchsurfing with Sam, though he actually gave me a spare bedroom to myself.  With the open windows all the time, rather large roaches are not uncommon.  Sam managed to squash two, and I surely injured a third before going to sleep.  I didn’t sleep much though being that [...]

Teletech To Get A New Zealand Directory Assistance Account Next Year
    2007-11-28 02:52:00
In mid-2008, Teletech will be opening a new directory assistance account that will serve Kiwi Customers. This early SITEL's call center operations management has announced that their Yellow Pages account will be shutting down because of the client's decision to award the oursourcing contract to call center rival Teletech in the Philippines.Sad news for Palmerston North residents in New Zealand but great news for Filipino call center agents in the Philippines looking for a day-shift job. Since it is still very early, no other news can been dug from this story but my best guess is the account will be located in the newest call center site teletech is developing in Sucat Paranaque. It would likely be a 24/7 operations but with the bulk of the shifts in the morning as New Zealand and the Philippines have very little time difference. To get more updated and follow up news about the latest call centers in the Philippines:Enter your email address:
