| Bad Culture And Bad Government: Newt Gingrich | | 2008-04-01 12:33:00 | | I just found an article on Human Events by Newt Gingrich that is worthy of those on both sides of the fence to peruse. Neither side, Dem's or Rep's escape the blame here. It focuses on How a movement of Bad Culture has resulted in Bad Government, and how we are seeing it's effects these days.Newt brings up Sen. Obama's Philadelphia speech. While I personally held little regard for it, as it was a "too little, too late," for me to accept it whole heartedly, Mr. Gingrich brings up a point. He mentions that it was wrong for Obama to focus on racism in the speech, but it does open the door for dialogue to correct the woes we suffer from today. It's said by Mr. Gingrich in the article, "But since the Left -- with its academic, Hollywood, trial lawyer, bureaucracy, and union factions -- is the cause of much of the bad culture and most of the bad government, it can hardly be expected to voluntarily start a dialogue about repudiating its own cultural values and reforming its own bureaucratic al | | By: Hoopy Frood Dude | | |
| | | Newt Gingrich Declares that the 2008 Presidential Election Process is Bad for America | | 2007-08-10 04:23:21 | | Newt Gingrich, ignoring all his idiosyncrasies, is right as usual. The 2008 Presidential Election is too long, too expensive and verges on “insane.” This fact was clearly demonstrated this week when less than 1 million people watched the Democratic Debate on MSNBC. I think more people will vote for Elvis as a Write-in Candidate. This phenomenon of Presidential Candidates starting excessively early, and relying on uninformed “consultants,” is terrible for our political process. Procedurally, Candidates are reduced to thirty-second answers to prevent what happened to Senator Barack Obama last week. Moreover, these sound-bites are not sufficient to educate the public and so there is perpetual political ignorance.Gingrich was very candid about Obama’s statements. Barack Obama declared that he would dispatch U.S. troops to Pakistan to attack al Qaeda if Pakistani authorities fail to get them. Newt spoke with intellectual honesty rarely seen by someone so partisan: “Obama s | | By: Copious Dissent - Your Daily Dose of Liberty | | |

| Newt Gingrich to Run? | | 2007-05-15 22:57:11 | | From ABC:Gingrich Says There Is a 'Great Possibility' He Will Run for President May 14, 2007 Newt Gingrich for president? It could happen. In an interview with Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America," the former Republican speaker of the House said there was a "great possibility" that he would run for president. He will make that decision sometime in the fall. Sawyer noted that previously Gingrich had only said he was "thinking about" a run for president. "You said you'll make a decision at the end of the September,{is it} more likely, less likely this morning? Sawyer asked Gingrich. "I think right now, it is a great possibility," Gingrich said. moreIn the interest of full disclosure allow me to say this; I dislike Newt Gingrich more than any former American politician currently alive. I have difficulty referring to him without prefacing his name with "that piece of @#%$" But I'll try to be objective here.Either he's just trying to stay in the limelight or he's gone bonke | | By: Dyre Portents | | |
