Their undoing was what everyone said was their weak spot was all year - defense. The Jayhawks came out out at a torrid pace on offense setting screen after screen on the Tar Heels for easy shots. Meanwhile, Carolina just could not get their shots to fall. The Tar Heels did make a run in the second half to get it down to 4 points, but the loose balls starting going Kansas' way and the lead was back up to up 10 before you could blink.
