Just a minute or two. Remove them from the pan and let them cool.Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. To cook the salmon: You'll need an ovenproof sauté pan. (Cast iron works well). Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Names Top Partners
    2008-01-22 20:03:45
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the youngest cruise line by virtue of the age of its ships, gave out their Travel Partner Awards presented during Norwegian Gem’s inaugural events in Boston and New York in December 2007. This year NCL expanded the awrd program to more clearly define its partnerships, and therefore presented five awards honoring the cruise line’s most innovative and successful partners. With so much much diversity in the cruise sales arena, it only makes sense to recognize companies who specialize in certain types of marketing....

Norwegian Forest Cat - Longhaired Cats
    2008-01-22 00:04:00
Picture: Norwegian Forest CatNorse legend describes the Norwegian Forest Cat as a mysterious, enchanted animal, and perhaps no other breed looks quite so wild or so much like a temporary visitor to the domestic hearth. Although it is in fact no more wild than the Maine Coon, which it resembles, it is still a natural breed that is rugged, hardy, and well-adapted to the cold Scandinavian winters. Most distinctive of these adaptive features is the Norwegian Forest Cat’s double coat, which keeps out the wind and the snow, keeps in the warmth, and dries in about fifteen minutes after a drenching.HistoryAll that is certain about the Norwegian Forest Cat is that it is an old breed. It ancestors may include shorthairs brought from Great Britain by the Vikings and longhaired cats brought by the Crusaders, which then mated with farm and feral stock. Alternatively, the Norsk Skaukatt, as it is known in its native land, may be none other than the troll cat of Scandinavian fairy tales. It was recognized in Norway in 1930 and first shown in 1938. For a while, no cats were allowed to be exported and the breed was largely unknown outside its own country. In recent years, however, it has achieved a higher international profile, and pedigree breeding lines have been established.Temperament“Wegies” love people and can be very demanding of affection; in exchange they offer intelligent, friendly, playful company. Used to the outdoor life, where they make dine, swift hunters, they can nonetheless adapt happily to staying indoors, as long as they are given plenty of space.VarietiesAll coat color and patterns are acceptable for the Norwegian Forest Cat, with or without white.Blue Smoke Norwegian Forest CatA curious characteristic of this breed is that it tends to come down from trees spirally, head first.Head- Triangualr in shape, with a long, wide, straight nose. Nose pad corresponds in color to the coat.- Blue nose pad.- Long, prominent whiskers.- Heavy Chin.- Full cheeks.EyesLarge...

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Family Cruising On The Gem
    2007-12-16 15:11:05
Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) Norwegian Gem showcases the special attention NCL pays to family cruising. Accomodations include a variety of connecting cabins, family suites and the now famous Garden Villas. The beauty of the family suite is that the adults get to spend time in a luxurious suite, with beautifully appointed sitting area, master bedroom and bath, while the kids get their own separate room within a room, complete with bath and closet and room for three. The one I viewed on the Norwegian Gem was the Amethyst Suite. As you can see, the master suiite is georgeous, and and has all the comforts of luxury....

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Inaugural Day 2
    2007-12-15 11:39:12
Day two of the Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) Gem inaugural began with a fabulous breakfast in the Garden Cafe. I love omelettes, and theirs was excellent. Then it was off to tour the ship. Starting at deck 13, I found the Spinnaker Lounge. This turned out to be a really all inclusive, do anything venue. Flat screen TVs everywhere, bar, shuffleboard, darts, pool, air hockey, and dance floor, plus a fabulous panarama view out the front of the ship. The night before, one of NCL’s biggest travel partners held a nice cocktail private party in here. Plenty of room for any large group function. It was a great chance to me to see many old friends and co-workers in the cruise industry....

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Gem Inaugural Was a Blast
    2007-12-14 07:38:04
When Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) throws a party, they allow nothing to get in the way. For only the second time in my 17 years in the cruise industry, I boarded a ship in a snowstorm. The two day Boston inaugural of the Norwegian Gem was smack in the middle of a blizzard that dropped 7 inches of snow on Boston in one afternoon. Once at the pier though, the cruise line went immediately into their standard outstanding shore side operation, welcoming everyone, thanking them for coming, and making sure it was as painless as possible to get onboard. Once inside, and away from all the elements, the magic was in the air, and one of the most beautiful ships I’ve seen was before me....

NORWAY: Delimitation of gas discovery in the Norwegian Sea
    2007-07-01 01:41:00
Norske Shell, operator of production licence 255, has concluded drilling of appraisal well 6406/9-2 on the 6406/9-1 discovery (”Onyx Sørvest”). The 6406/9-1 discovery was proven in 2005 and is located approx. 40 km north-west of the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea.The discovery contains gas in Middle to Lower Jurassic rocks. In a press release issued in January 2006, the NPD indicated a range of uncertainty of 10-50 billion Sm3 recoverable gas for the discovery. The objective of appraisal well 6406/9-2 was to delimit the discovery. The well encountered gas/water contacts in Middle to Lower Jurassic rocks, thus confirming the northerly extent of the discovery. The NPD's preliminary assessment is that the size of the discovery is probably in the upper half of the uncertainty range. The well was not formation tested, but extensive data collection and sampling were carried out. The collected data will be analysed to enhance the estimated size and production characteristics of the...
