Ronnie Coleman only came 4, I am a little sorry for him as this will be his last Mr. Olympia. I would have loved to see him come first or second but then again, number 4 still says he is among the best. Ronnie Coleman won 8 consecutive Mr. Olympia competitions and many believe he is the greatest bodybuilder ever, along side with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dorian Yates and Lee Haney of course. This guy has a reputation of being among the best performers on stage and always giving as much as he can. He even stated that it is important to be among the best and this can only come with a great presentation. This year at Mr. Olympia in the finals, Melvin Anthony started off his posing with graceful moves and then shifted to a little bit of breakdancing, great dance moves and a tremendous posing. | Jay Cutler is Mr. Olympia Again | | 2007-10-01 00:52:00 | | Well, here we have it, Jay Cutler is now the two time Mr. Olympia. The official results were:1- Jay Cutler2- Victor Martinez3- Dexter Jackson4- Ronnie Coleman5- Dennis Wolf6- Melvin Anthony It is quite surprising for Ronnie Coleman to come only 4. Nobody really expected it while people did like Victor Martinez and always placed him 3rd in the predictions. Dexter Jackson was also highlighted as a top 5 contender. Nobody really expected Ronnie would come fourth though. I though Jay Cutler would get first place, Ronnie Coleman second place and Victor Martinez third place at Mr. Olympia this year. Well, I was a little wrong, as were many of us. Anyhow, congratulations go to Jay Cutler for winning Mr. Olympia 2007. First we have the first 6 bodybuilders in the 2006 Mr. Olympia: Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman, Victor Martinez, Dexter Jackson, Melvin Anthony and Gustavo Badell. Markus Ruhl will of course be there after his 3rd place at Austria Pro and another German, Ronnie Rockel, qualified thanks to his third spot at the Netherlands Pro. A Russian is also on the list, Sergio Shelestov, qualifying for Mr. Olympia thanks to his 3rd place at Romania Pro. Hidetada Yamagishi from Japan will be there after his Sacramento Pro 3rd place. The first 5 placed bodybuilders at Ironman Pro will be there and more. 5 bodybuilders that are qualified might not compete because of different reasons: Phil Heath, Branch Warren, Dennis James, Desmond Miller and Kai Greene.In total we have 27 competitors. If they tried that shit out in Shelton (where we live), no one would show up to S.O.C.K. (Save Our County's Kids) and they wouldn't make any money off it. Sounds like a good way to propagate unnecessary domestic violence, additional youth crime and a hell of a lot more bad mojo. After-school programs need to be free to the families and kids who need to use them. We, as a community, are responsible for figuring out ways to support and improve these selfless and direly-needed organizations however possible without incurring fees on their patrons, who doubtless are fairly hard-up.My BIG QUESTION however is this: What happens to the poor kids? The ones who get edged out of this brilliant new picture for a closer-to-self-sustaining after-school program?Trouble is, these programs can't be self-sustaining. (Unless we install rooftop gardens, gather together some hotshot fundraisers and canvassers, employ slave labor from the kids, or get them really, really interested in making and/or selling something or themselves... which is a whole slew of cans of worms to figure out.)_______________________________Almost every week this is the "What's on the city council's plate this week" review.
