| | Entrecard: Advertise on Online Presence for FREE | | 2008-01-10 23:40:08 | | This is the 2nd article that I’m writing about Entrecard. The first one titled, Entrecard: Does it work? tried to capture the traffic quality from Entrecard.
Well…as the title mentions, this one is more about promoting Entrecard and promoting your own blog. So, if you want to Advertise on Online Presence for free, try the Entrecard route. It will only cost you a few Entrecard Credits. The amount of credits required to advertise for a day varies, but at present it stands at around 28 credits/day.
That’s a small amount of credits that you need to spend to advertise here.
Give it a try.
PS: This promotion is also being done to get an understanding of the Entrecard system. Over the next few weeks, I’ll cover various aspects of Entrecard to determine if the real estate space it occupies on the blog is really worth giving to the widget. I also launched the first 2 contests on this blog in December ‘07. The first of which (The No Effort $100 Contest) has officially ended. I will be announcing the winner shortly. For those who did not participate in the contest, head over to the Agile Blogger Contest.
Statistics
The blog has had 273 posts in 2007 and averages about 300 unique visitors daily. This is not much to brag about, but I do see the traffic increasing slowly!
Technorati ranked the blog at 49,202 with an authority of 128.
Alexa ranked the website at 105,000.

I launched my first blog contest in November, and not surprisingly that was the most popular post of the month. We have 15 entries so far for this contest. The contest runs till end of December ‘07.
Geo-targeting of ads running on your blog is not that difficult after all. In this article on geo-targeting, we explore some very basic scripts that can help you achieve this.
A news item on Snap Shots that covered their introduction of advertisements in the snap windows was quite popular as well. I’ve used Snap Shots on several of my websites and now it can help me make money as well!

| | Online Presence now powered by a new theme! | | 2007-11-12 06:29:56 | | I had mentioned towards the end of October about a new theme for Online Presence. Well, as you can see, its now “live!”. There might still be some glitches here and there, but most features that I wanted to include have already been activated.
One of the feedback that I had received for my previous theme was that its too “white”! That was one aspect I worked upon in this new “V2″ theme.
Besides the theme migration, I have also migrated to WordPress 2.3.1. Along with that, I’ve upgraded to the latest versions of all the plugins, thanks to the notifications from the WordPress Admin panel. I did notice some plugins not mentioning the latest versions, even though their respective websites had a new release. I guess there are still some glitches to be ironed out with regard to this.
Do let me know your feedback on this theme and how I can improve on it in the next iteration.
PS: The theme has been tested on IE and Firefox only.
