| Literature Research Papers | | 2008-05-06 23:14:00 | | Literature research paper is commonly a requirement that focuses on literature, either on a specific literary topic or emphasizing the salient points of literature. Depending on the topic to be written about, a research paper on literature often requires research to enable the writer to expound on the given topic. This is also primarily because researching about literature is not simply summarizing literary pieces, it is creatively interpreting, objectively judging, or critically evaluating literature.Having all these points in mind, it is understood that an investigatory report in literature must raise a debatable argument. This can only possible when the writer, prior to writing, has thought of and structured a specific and detailed dissertation statement that clearly defines his/her perspective and thoughts regarding the chosen topic. A debatable topic that one decides on can strengthen the argument based on a number of specific examples from the literary piece itself or from a numb | | By: Dissertation Writing Guru | | |

| Buried In Papers | | 2008-03-03 09:31:00 | | As I continue to recover, I decided I wanted to do something around the house that wouldn't require a lot of heavy lifting or exertion this weekend. That meant tackling several mysterious piles of paper I had seen in various corners of our office. Since we had set up my own office downstairs, I had planned to move our files downstairs where I could keep a better eye on our health, house, and financial records. Little did I know what I was going to find. The stack of papers initially was about a foot high when I set it down on the couch. I later added at least 6 more inches to that pile along with a banker's box full of papers after I scavenged through the office closet. I had a shred pile, a garbage pile, and then the piles for stuff to be filed later on. I found unopened mail that dated back to 2002. 2002!!!! We moved into our house in 2005, which means this unopened mail was packed up and moved from one house to another. It wasn't my mail, of course. On the plus side, I found | | By: In Java, Literally... | | |

| FMS 2008 previous question papers and study materials | | 2008-01-06 06:39:00 | | Known for being the first to offer management training for professional managers in the form of Part-Time MBA Programme, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi has come a long way since its inception in 1955. An average salary of INR 12.24 Lakhs per annum. The history of the entrance exam for 2-Year Full-Time MBA Programme is no different, and for that matter, less challenging from that of the institute itself. FMS had always offered surprises to the people aspiring to do an MBA. The greatest, though, happened four years back when Business Awareness Section was done away with, in FMS 2003. This, coupled with a totally unexpected increase in the total number of questions from 150 to 175, gave real jitters to the ones taking FMS in January 2004. The only saving grace in FMS is that it does not have sectional cut-offs. Hence, a student who has one weaker area can do better in other sections to create balance and achieve overall cut-offs.Orginal Question paper from past FMS Exams Click hereClick here forFMS mock question paper | | By: Career Options and Higher Studies | | |

Alpay had a falling out with his coach Christoph Daum this season and was relegated to the bench. The club agreed to let him stay until the January transfer window to stay fit, according to a statement by the Bundesliga (who also own the rights to this photo). The 34 year old defender had previously been suspended by the club. It has not been reported what MLS team he has been negotiating with, although Alpay said it was not the L.A. Galaxy. | Research papers are lame | | 2007-12-02 00:44:00 | | I don't really mind writing an essay or two every now and then. Sit down for about a half-hour and crank out two or so pages of random bullshit to satisfy whatever requirements need to be satisfied and that's that. Research papers are a whole nother bitch though, and what a bitch they are. If done properly, a good research paper takes hours of preparation and includes a detailed research process, documenting everything along the way, making sure to maintain proper MLA formatting. All of this does not really gel with my thought processes or how I get my work done.My topic was the history of the graphic novel, which is basically just the history of comics with a cooler name. Anyways, this is a topic that, while I'm not an expert on, I have a decent understanding of. This made it relatively easy to write once I actually got down to writing it. The problem is, writing something you know doesn't exactly qualify as a research paper because you didn't do any research. And here I thought that good writers write about what they know...The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck - the first comic book published in AmericaI hate research papers and work..a lot. | | By: Sunrise on the Sufferbus

| If you would now like to look at your papers | | 2007-10-23 17:14:37 | | There have been a couple of interesting news stories relating to public speaking in the past couple of days.
Gerald Ratner AutobiographyThe Sunday Times printed an extract from The Rise and Fall...And Rise Again, the autobiography of Gerald Ratner, which is published next week by John Wiley. Ratner is easily one of the best (or worst!) examples of the damage that can be done by including inappropriate material in a speech. In April 1991, he addressed the annual conference of the Institute of Directors and (having been advised to include humour) told his audience that his company was able to sell a sherry decanter for less than a tenner because it was 'total crap' (a line which, remarkably, he had also used a week earlier at another function in the presence of Princess Anne) and that a pair of their earrings were cheaper than a prawn sandwich from Marks and Spencer. He got laughs and a standing ovation but the longer term outcome of his speech was a billion-pound turnover slashed overnight, £500 million knocked off the valuation of his company and, ultimately, the loss of his £650,000 salary and position running the family firm he had been involved in for 30 years. He has since rebuilt his career (hence the book's title) but his name will always be associated with that speech. As a speaker, I am a great advocate of self-effacing humour, after all, making yourself the butt of a joke means you are unlikely to offend anyone else but the problem in this case was that the jokes weren't self-deprecating - they made fun of an entire business empire and its customers which affected its shareholders and staff, not to mention Mr Ratner's own family.Public Speaking Tip #52: All jokes have a victim so self-effacing humour can be the safest variety - just make sure that no-one else can get caught up in any fallout!A Nasal Spray to Fight Public Speaking Fears?Monday's Daily Telegraph carried a story about researchers at the University of New South Wales who have develo | | By: Nick R Thomas - A Public Speaker's Blog
