Desktop Photo studio - Makes You The Real Photographer..!
    2008-07-30 07:47:00
Very few photographers are good as a photographer. Although they work hard, yet it is hard to expel their thoughts in every frame. Even they work with so many specifications they cannot identify their right position as a photographer. To overcome this trouble a Table Top Photo Studio has been unveiled to the sight of [...]

    Photographer
    2008-07-30 02:03:02
A photographer for a national magazine was assigned to take pictures of a great forest fire. He was advised that a small plane would be waiting to fly him over the fire. The photographer arrived at the airstrip just an hour before sundown. Sure enough, a small Cessna airplane was waiting. He jumped in with his equipment and shouted, "Let's go!" The tense man sitting in the pilot's seat swung the plane into the wind and soon they were in the air, though flying erratically. "Fly over the north side of the fire," said the photographer, "And make several low-level passes." "Why?" asked the nervous pilot. "Because I'm going to take pictures!" yelled the photographer. "I'm a photographer, and photographers take pictures!" The pilot replied, "You mean you're not the flight instructor?"

Best Shot Monday — Mystery Photographer…
    2008-06-23 01:38:22
I’m back home from my weekend conference, and other than the house appearing to have been ransacked by ravenous bears during my absence (or other equally untidy beasts), the family seems to have survived quite nicely. However, no one was particularly forthcoming during my attempts to garner specific details of the weekend events at home. [...]

Andrew Harris : www.andrewharrisphotography.co.ukI bought my first camera about 18 years ago. Now an avid digital Fan I use a Canon EOS5D and Canon L Series Lenses. Photography gives me an “excuse” to travel (not that I need one) and I have seen some fantastic places like Australia and New Zealand. One of my favourite places is in this country though – The Lake District. The light is always changing and whilst some days the camera stays in the bag as it is always raining!! Some days give you some of the most stunning views you will get anywhere. There is nothing like being out early in the morning capturing fantastic images whilst most people are still snoring away!!Please look through some of my images on the link below. You will see that I sell greetings cards in aid of Leukaemia research. A close member of my family has Leukaemia and I thought it was a way of trying to raise money for such a worthwhile charity.Andrew Harris - http://www.andrewharrisphotography.co.uk/Thanks And

Well, it's best to head over and check MarkOristano-Photographer.com, Mark Oristano its website. When you search for photographer DALLAS, you will undoubtedly find Mark Oristano immediately. Sony A300 Perfect for the Beginner Photographer
    2008-03-01 11:12:56
The Sony A300 is perfect for a beginner photographer like me. I know, I once mentioned that the Olympus E510 was the perfect camera for me but it does not have the Auto Focus function on its LiveView. Anyway, the Sony A300 has everything that the e510 has to offer.Additionally, the 200K plus pixels LiveView 2.7” LCD panel tilts up & down too. Along with the superb white colored telephoto lens that will be in my photography equipment to buy list. I can do without the 4/3 lens of the e510 which to my understanding is good because a 4/3 telephoto lens is lighter than others.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.1 for the Professional Photographer Book Review
    2008-02-19 13:15:00
Adobe's Photoshop Lightroom 1.1 image workflow software is the latest version of one of the company's most popular photographic tools, providing an editing and organization solution geared toward professional photographers and amateurs who have large catalogs of images to manage. As a tool, Lightroom offers a lot of power, but has also brought a lot of confusion (even among professional photographers) as to how it works, who needs it, and how it differs from Photoshop. While slanted more heavily toward the needs of professional photographers, David Huss and David Plotkin's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.1 for the Professional Photographer, a new guidebook to the software from Focal Press, attempts to answer some of the pressing questions surrounding the software and provide a detailed, easy-to-read trip through Lightroom's different modules and functions. With a street price around $25, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.1 for the Professional Photographer might be the ideal bit of pre-reading fo

Thirteen Ways to be a Greener Photographer

    Photographer of the Year 2008
    2008-02-14 11:05:00
The Theme:People. The first Photographer of the Year competition of 2008 is all about capturing the human condition. Whether it's an environmental portrait of a person at work, a fashion shoot, a detailed close-up of your loved one or an innovative image of your local footie team, getting the best from a human face (or faces) is extremely difficult. We ask that you submit a portfolio of up to five images. They can be multiple images of the same person, or a range of photographs designed to show your understanding of portraiture in general. Be warned though, portraiture is a deceptively hard topic, spanning everything from classical art to the snapshot aesthetic, from sophisticated lighting arrangements seen in 1930s Hollywood film star portraits to the naturally-lit documentary portraits of Mary Ellen Mark or the deceptive simplicity of Bailey or Richard Avedon. You could draw on anyone from Julia-Margaret Cameron to Karsh of Ottawa; Horst P Horst to Alec Soth; August Sander to Nan Gold

What is a Real Photographer for me?
    2008-02-09 04:30:48
A real photographer are not those only who have PRO Accounts in Flickr, nor those who just own an expensive DSLR and lenses.A real photographer is not measured by how many of your photos appear in the Explore page of Flickr. It appears there simply because Flickr wants you to stay and maintain a PRO account with them.A real photographer are not those who study photography, nor those who did not study at all.A real photographer does not rely on his expensive cameras to capture a good photo. His camera whether it’s the cheapest disposable camera or the Mark III are only an extension of his mind. He start to see a good photo not from the viewfinder but from his imagination.A real photographer is not bound by photography rules. He is willing to jump outside the box of photography rules and make his originality.A real photographer does not depend on good locations to photoshoot to have good photos. To be a photographer
    2008-01-08 13:49:55
Many people think that photography isn't an art because things are depicted as they are. This simply isn't true! The work of a photographer also entails choosing what he shall describe.Photographers shoot all they see. It seems an easy and cheap task. How can a mechanical process be made to produce artistic pictures? This has been one of the aesthetic questions of the eighteenth century. Photography is the product of knowledge and sensibility, trial and error and empirical experiment."Will the industry invade the territory of art?" Baudelaire asked himself. Today we could answer him "No, it won't. Look at some photographs. The variety of their imagery is prodigious: the light, the viewpoint, the change in print tonality."Shooting a photo is less simple than it seems. You can study photo, you can learn as a photographer does. Photographers learn in two ways: from an intimate understanding of their tools and materials and from other photographs. If you can't go to a photography exhibi

PhotoPlus 2007: A Great Time to Be A Photographer
    2007-10-23 21:15:00
I spent Friday at the PhotoPlus 2007 show in New York, seeing all sorts of new photographic equipment and running into old friends. I was impressed as always by the many photographic tools, but also by the increasing competition in the Digital SLR market, and how good so many smaller cameras and camcorders are getting. (Of course, being silly, I left my own camera back at my office, so Gearlog's Carol Mangis took a picture of the show with me and Terry Sullivan, who used to do camera reviews for PC Magazine and is now with Consumer Reports. My Standard of Service As a Photographer
    2007-05-24 20:50:57
The photo in this entry is My True Colors. Photographed and edited by me, Lynda Walldez. I was speaking with a friend when the question came up whether to make prints of the photographs I would be taking for some future clients. At first I was fine with it, then I changed my mind. My friend thought I was crazy. I thought it was fine to go ahead and produce the prints for clients because that is ultimately what they want, something tangible to remember the event by. Although I have increasingly noticed that many photographers today don't produce prints for the client anymore. Instead, they put the photos on a CD and give it to the client. Many times without having the photos edited. I don't really think that doing that is very professional, but I don't consider myself quite the professional yet. I have only done a handful of photo shoots and never had to produce prints. Although, everyone I have done photography for are people that are close to me and don't expect that level of..
