| "I Will Possess Your Heart" | | 2008-03-21 07:02:00 | | The wait is finally over, and a few days ago Death Cab for Cutie finally released the lead single from their upcoming album, Narrow Stairs. While Narrow Stairs isn't due until May 13th, you can give "I Will Possess Your Heart" a listen now on their MySpace page. Alternatively, turn on your radio to any station and I can't imagine how they could play anything else really.The radio version is about four minutes shorter than the version that will be included on the album, making it one of DCFC's longest songs. The song starts off brooding and slow and for several minutes it's simply fantastic mood music. Then Ben Gibbard comes in and you know for sure it's still DCFC. It's a little different than Plans, but not enough to alienate any of the fans they gained from their major label debut and it might even win over some old fans they might have lost for whatever reason.
