    2008-07-23 06:40:33
Observers in the lending industry have estimated that there may be at least 50 million Americans who are not able to qualify for credit. These consumers are usually young, often members of the minority groups and unbanked...and they are faced with the long-standing dilemma of credit: how can I build my credit record if no one will give me any credit at all?One of the answers offered by credit card companies is a variety of prepaid credit cards, designed for use by specific segments in the market. Prepaid credit cards
    2008-06-12 14:00:22
Prepaid credit cards are designed for individuals who might have difficulty getting approved for an unsecured line of credit but would still like all the functionality and convenience of a regular charge card. While specific features will vary from program to program, a prepaid card generally requires the user to deposit cash or a paycheck (also known as “loading” the card) which will then be used as a secured source of funds for the owner to drawn against for as long as a positive balance is maintained. Prepaid credit cards work just like regular debit or charge cards; you can use them at any location that accepts Visa or MasterCard and some will even issue you a PIN number to use to withdraw cash at any ATM, anytime, anywhere. People looking to apply for a prepaid credit card are usually concerned about three major determining factors: the annual fee, the application fee, and the participation fee. Annual fees are charges to use the prepaid service on a per-year basis, whereas pa

Prepaid phone card still the best
    2008-05-06 19:47:00
No matter how you calculate it, prepaid phone cards still have the cheapest rate compare to the offer given by the fix phone line. I still remember there is one time that I try the offer for the international call for a certain fix line company. It started out pretty good even if the rate is a bit higher. The problem with this kind of offer is that they have a time period. After the offered time, the rate will shoot up high. That’s the time that you started to scream “I should have remember to cancel it” Finally I decided just to stick with the prepaid phone cards. It makes my life easier and less worried. I don’t need to keep an eye on it as the most that I’ll loss is the amount of money that I bought the card. I don’t have to make phone calls after seeing my phone bills. In fact I won’t be getting any phone bills by using the prepaid phone cards. Life is happier with less payment to make. Another thing that I like about prepaid phone

    Prepaid process possible
    2008-03-10 02:45:03
----Original Message-----Subject: Prepaid process possible I am looking for information on how we could implement a prepaid process. By "prepaidprocess" I mean: - Customer sends to us his order - If customer is set as "prepaid", we produce an invoice for him to pay - Once we have received his payment, we release the sales order for delivery - no further billing document is produced. I found information in online documentation about "down payments" (I imagine that ourprepaid process could be a 100% required down payment) but it does not seem that itwould work. From what I understood it looks like the billing plan is handled based upon theitem category, which implies the processing is "material" specific not "customer" specific. What we do now: - We have defined a risk category "prepaid" which is assigned to our prepaid customer. This risk category automatically block the sales order for delivery. - We receive the sales orders and produce a Pro Forma invoice from it, and send it to c

Slow Prepaid Dial-up Internet in Tatarstan
    2008-02-20 15:55:26
What makes things worst is that the internet connection speed is slow with the prepaid dial-up connection in Tatarstan. One cannot expect broadband like performance from Dial-up internet. I have not used dial-up internet since the 1990s in Malaysia. The last experience I had using dial-up internet was also in Tatarstan back in 2005. By the way, I am currently on my holiday in Tatarstan, Russia. I should look into some mobile internet connection during my stay in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. At the moment, I only log on to the internet when necessary to keep my blogging hobby costs down in Tatarstan.

Do You Really Want a Prepaid Credit Card?
    2008-02-14 00:44:59
Do You Really Want a Prepaid Credit Card?By: Max AndersonThink you want a prepaid credit card? You might want to think twice. Those who decide to purchase these cards often do so for the wrong reasons. While prepaid cards definitely have their time and place, make sure you're buying yours for the right reasons. Here are three things you need to ask yourself before you spend a dime...1. Why Do You Need It?The first thing you need to ask yourself when applying for a prepaid credit card is why you need it. Is it because you don't have good enough credit to qualify for a traditional card? If that's the case, you might want to try a secured card instead. While a prepaid credit card will help you make credit card purchases, they can't help rebuild your credit. The companies that issue these cards don't report your information to the credit bureaus. This means that no matter how long you use it or how good you are with it, it's never going to help you get a real credit card.2. Would a Secured

    Secured & Prepaid credit cards
    2007-07-03 06:52:30
Secured credit cardsA secured credit card is a type of credit card secured by a deposit account owned by the cardholder. Typically, the cardholder must deposit between 100% and 200% of the total amount of credit desired. Thus if the cardholder puts down $1000, he or she will be given credit in the range of $500–$1000. In some cases, credit card issuers will offer incentives even on their secured card portfolios. In these cases, the deposit required may be significantly less than the required credit limit, and can be as low as 10% of the desired credit limit. This deposit is held in a special savings account. Credit card issuers offer this as they have noticed that delinquencies were notably reduced when the customer perceives he has something to lose if he doesn't repay his balance. The cardholder of a secured credit card is still expected to make regular payments, as he or she would with a regular credit card, but should he or she default on a payment, the card issuer has the option
