Well Sunday will be the day Jason Taylor finally goes public with his trade request.
Just as "lancelolink" writes in this fanpost, Taylor will hold a press conference at 11:30 am on Sunday. And according to reports in the Miami Herald and the Sun-Sentinel, Taylor will publicly announce that he has indeed requested a trade to a contender.
This shouldn't come as a shock to anyone. And it's great that Taylor will finally act mature about this and say exactly how he feels rather than hiding behind his agent and privately requesting a trade.
But what if a trade doesn't happen because the Dolphins can't find a suitable partner offering what they perceive as fair value? According to the Herald, Taylor has a movie offer on the table:
If he is forced to retire, Taylor has options. One is a movie offer that begins shooting in October. Taylor will pass on the offer if he's playing for another team. If not, he will seriously consider accepting the offer.

There will be a 4pm press conference that you can see live on Miami Dolphins.com. Also, incase you missed it, the incentive that Green has to meet for the conditional pick to move from a 5th rounder to a 4th is that Green must take 70% of the snaps in the regular season. Roughly, that's playing all of the first 11 games. It's probably likely that the Dolphins will NOT bench Green prior to week 12 so I would expect the Dolphins to end up losing their 4th rounder. Of course, if the Dolphins are 3-7, then maybe we can start talking about benching Green and letting Beck get his feet wet. | | Trent Green Holds Press Conference | | 2007-05-22 21:58:03 | | Trent Green just finished a press conference he held upon arrival for the Chiefs' OTAs. I'm working on getting his actual words, but you can click here to get to a summary of what was said courtesy of Arrowhead Pride. After reading that, I'd be interested in hearing his tone of voice. To me, though, it seems like Green feels like a very frustrated person right now. And who wouldn't be? You have to feel bad for the guy. Having Carl Peterson for your boss has to take a toll on you! Hopefully, this can get resolved sooner rather than later. Ideally, it'd be nice to give up only a 6th rounder and then be able to keep Green and DC together in Miami at least through training camp. See, I am not the brave and stoic figure I present here on this blog. In reality, I am actually a bundle of neurosis held together by stands of sanity.
