Here on the Online Socialite blog I strive to showcase socialites who have achieved celebrity status. In this post I plan to showcase an international celebrity who has become a socialite thru his personal charisma and captivating life. Prince Henry of Wales (commonly known as Prince Harry) is third in line to the British Throne and the younger son of The Prince of Wales and his first wife Diana, Princess of Wales. As a ‘royal celebrity’, Prince Harry is widely recognized for his role as a young prince and all aspects of his life attract a high degree of media attention. Having grown up in front of the eyes of the world, many people worldwide keep tabs on the different aspects of his life. His biography on the Prince of Wales website even lists his birth weight! (here) The world has consistently followed the life of Prince Harry and older brother Prince William - especially through the loss of their mother Princess Diana in 1997. Prince Harry
    2008-06-03 03:52:00
Following up on Prince William, here is Prince Harry so you can decide which of the two is hotter.   Prince Henry of Wales (Henry Charles Albert David; born 15 September 1984), commonly known as Prince Harry, is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and his first wife, the late Diana, Princess of Wales. A grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, he is third in the line of succession to the thrones of the United Kingdom and the other fifteen Commonwealth realms, behind his father and his older brother, Prince William. He holds the rank of Lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry of the British Army. Harry was a tank commander, trained to lead a 12-man team in four armoured reconnaissance vehicles. After the decision not to send him to Iraq, he retrained as a battlefield air controller, the job he performed in Afghanistan. He was serving on the front line in Afghanistan although he was pulled out on 29 February 2008 after the world media found out

    prince harry's aborted afghanistan mission
    2008-03-02 10:39:16
Prince Henry of Wales, third in line to the British throne and otherwise known as Prince Harry, has just been pulled out of Afghanistan after the media uncovered his secret deployment. Tsk, tsk. It was supposed to be a longer tour of duty but due to this discovery, fear for his safety and that of his whole regiment necessitated an early pullout. It is said that Islamic militants were already on the move to kill him. For what it’s worth, I must say that I admire the guy and what he did. Fo

Prince Harry's Going Home: Who Is Really To Blame?
    2008-02-29 06:58:00
I figured it would be best to wait this one out for just a bit, until some of the actual facts came to the surface. By now you've all heard that Prince Harry, third royal in line for the throne, has been serving on the front lines in Afghanistan. Now Harry is heading home, thanks to the break in the press blackout.Already, this news story has erupted into a firestorm of finger pointing as to who is responsible for the leak. The majority of the major media outlets pretty much turned and pointed in unison at The Drudge Report as being the perpetrator. HERE is the first article on the Drudge regarding the Royal in combat.Interestingly enough, it turns out the Drudge Report was NOT the initiate of this story, but an Australian gossip rag called New Idea. Apparently, a German source called BILD also ran something about it, but I haven't found anything on that yet. Even more interesting is the fact that New Idea published the story back on January 7th. It wasn't until the Drudge Report repor

    Prince Harry in Afghanistan
    2008-02-28 18:07:31
It is the war that had to be fought. It is the war that should have been won quickly and decisively. It is the war that should have sent a clear message to terrorists and the nations who support them. It is the war that should receive just as much attention, if not more than Iraq. Yet, we hear very little about what is going on in Afghanistan. Now there is a report that Prince Harry has been fighting on the front lines and suddenly there is all kinds of coverage. Nothing about the American troops that have sacrificed their life. Nothing about the status of Al Qaeda or the Taliban. Basically, nothing but coverage of Prince Harry. I don't think that there has been this much coverage of Afghanistan since the first few years of the war.Again the news media shows itself to be an absolute disgrace. Their priorities are completely out of order as far as doing what's right for America. I heard some in the media admit that they failed to do their job when it came to holding our government

Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy back together
    2007-12-06 21:11:24
Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy have decided to give their relationship another chance, but it seems that the blonde Zimbabwean doesn't want to stay in Britain. The couple separated after a series of rows last month. The main reason being that Chelsy was fed up with 23-year-old Harry's excessive drinking and lack of commitment. She had also been upset when Harry snubbed her 22nd birthday party to watch the Rugby World Cup final in France in October. After the two had their heart-to-hearts talk, they decided to give their relationship another go. However, the reunion is still on shaky grounds, as it seems the Zimbabwean-born heiress, wants to return back to South Africa.Chelsy is at the moment not enjoying studying law and is depressed by the cold in Leeds. To make matters worse, security concerns have meant that Harry has been able to visit her only once since she arrived in the city in September. The one option for Chelsy, is to transfer to a university in London, but she has decided to wa

    Prince Harry Going to Iraq
    2007-05-01 16:33:20
Prince Harry will be going to Iraq very soon. This doesn’t sound like a good idea to me at all. Not for the basic reasons like him being the “spare” just in case something happens to Prince William or Iraq being a battle that most countries are trying to get out of at [...]

    Drunk Prince harry?
    2007-03-26 02:44:40
March 25, 2007 — Prince Harry was caught on camera Saturday as he stumbled out of a nightclub and into the path of the paparazzi. In the kind of story low-brow British newspapers love, Prince Harry reportedly fell outside of a nightclub right after he tried to punch a photographer. On Sunday morning, a spokesperson for the British royal family said it was just an accident."On the way out of the nightclub, he stumbled on the curb and fell on the photographer," the spokesperson said. "There was no aggressive intent; they were laughing at it at the time."If true, it wouldn't be the first time Harry has scuffled with the paparazzi. In 2004 he lunged at a photographer outside another London night spot."I think Harry doesn't care. I get that feeling that he really doesn't care," Majesty magazine editor Ingrid Seward told "Good Morning America Weekend Edition." "And he loves to drink. And after a few drinks he cares even less. And he loathes the media."Harry and his brother have a fractio
