The notice has categorised this incident as a “willful and deliberate discrimination on the basis of caste, sex, creed and region”. The notice also says the management of the bar — Urban Pind — asked the woman to reveal her nationality. “When told she was an Indian from the North-East, she was bluntly refused entry,” the notice reads.Bar owner Kashif Farooq, however, said he was yet to receive any legal notice. We are all profiled in certain ways. Women are often profiled. I can only imagine what it may be like to walk in a bar or happy hour and see al these goons starring at specified apportionments of ones anatomy over ones eyes. Now don’t get me wrong. RoomSaver.com, the Web?s most comprehensive source for hotel discounts and a division of Trader Publishing Company, today announced that a recent poll of their Travel Club members concluded that thirty-one percent of travelers prefer to reserve lodging weeks in advance.
Members of RoomSaver.com?s exclusive Travel Club responded to the question featured in the January issue of the Traveler?s Tribune, ?How far in advance do you typically reserve your lodging arrangements?? Thirty-one percent of respondents prefer to reserve lodging weeks in advance. Rated second, with 26 percent, were those who prefer to ?wing it? and make their reservations upon arrival at the hotel, while close behind were 24 percent who choose to reserve months in advance. Members who favored reserving days in advance (17%) and hours before arriving (2%) rounded out the top 5 responses.
