Electric Weekend es un nuevo festival que tendrá lugar el viernes 30 y el sábado 31 de mayo en el Auditorio John Lennon de Getafe. Como primeras bandas confirmadas, Rage Against the Machine y Metallica.
Rage Against the Machine serán los cabezas de cartel del viernes 30 y volverán a España con su formación original tras su reunificación en primavera de 2007.
Metallica encabezará el cartel del sábado 31 y vuelve a España tras su apoteósica actuación en junio de 2007 en el Bilbao BBK Live, donde consiguió congregar a casi 40.000 persona. La banda californiana regresa para presentar su nuevo disco, que saldrá a la venta a lo largo del presente año.
El cartel del Electric Weekend se completará con otras siete u ocho bandas por día. Las entradas salen a la venta el martes, 22 de enero, a través de la red Tick Tack Ticket, con una oferta inicial de bono de dos días a 110 €, más gastos de distribución. Se trata de una oferta limitada hasta el 16 de febrero.

I took the long road, with detailed inspiration, to get to this question, Did you ever fight back against something you thought was wrong? What was it you fought against and why were you fighting? Do you feel your efforts were in vain? Why or why not?Obviously, with the impending re-cancellation of a hard to find program, I showed my cards somewhat. Many, many times shows have been canceled that I have been in to and nothing that viewers do or say seems to be good enough to get it back. The best you can hope for nowadays is that old programs will surface online or or on a sister network that may or may not be created. It's all about ratings and shares and other things I don't understand. I have contributed to many a petition in the past and will continue to do so I'm sure, for many in the future.But TV show cancellations, while they do infuriate me, only represent the bigger picture.
