Ford Ranger to avoid the axe in '09?
    2008-06-26 08:01:00
As record fuel prices leave automakers' carefully-laid truck plans looking as if they've been bombarded by a squadron of B-52s, an unlikely survivor might poke its head through the wreckage at Ford: the Ranger. Originally slated to be given a gold watch, a pat on the back, and then shown the door in 2009, the Detroit News reports that the current Ranger might live on until 2011, when its new global replacement will be ready. Attractive fuel economy and good sales numbers -- the Ranger is the #2 compact truck behind the Taco, even though opening the door to the Ford is like stepping into a time machine to the 1990s -- might be the current Ranger's saviors. Salvation is not completely assured, however. Some investment would be required to keep Ranger alive no matter what, as the current truck doesn't have side airbags, which are required after 2009 (this was probably one of the reasons it was slated to die off then in the first place). Is spending money on the Ranger to extend its life

    Humor jokes-The Lone Ranger
    2008-06-26 02:09:02
The Lone Ranger and Tonto walked into a bar and sat down to drink a beer. After a few minutes, a big tall cowboy walked in and said, "Who owns the big white horse outside?"The Lone Ranger said, "I do, Why?"The cowboy said, "I just thought you'd like to know that your horse is about dead outside!"The Lone Ranger and Tonto rushed outside and sure enough Silver was about to die from heat exhaustion. The Lone Ranger got water and soon Silver was starting to feel a little better. The Lone Ranger turns to Tonto and said, "I want you to run around Silver and see if you can create enough of a breeze to help cool him down."Tonto said, "Sure, Kemosabe" and begins running circles around Silver.Unable to do anything except wait, the Lone Ranger returns to the bar to finish his drink. A few minutes later, another cowboy struts into the bar and asks, "Who owns that big white horse out side?"The Lone Ranger stands and claims, "I do, what's wrong with him this time?"The cowboy looks him in the eye and

    Cubs/Ranger, spring training
    2008-03-24 17:44:00
Opening day is a week from today.  It’s one of the best days of the year and it’s only 7 days away.  In the meantime, the Cub will play the Rangers today at 3:05 pm.  Ryan Dempster starts for the Cubs today. An interesting position battle has come up due to Scott Eyre’s sore shoulder, which inevitably lead to him being placed on the DL.  The choices are between Sean Marshall and Carmen Pignatiello.  Pignatiello hasn’t been scored upon yet this spring, but Marshall has been pitching as a starter, but will be used in relief this week.  I suppose if it’s a choice between those two you send Marshall down to AAA so he can remain stretched out and able to fill a hole in the rotation should one come up. It’s possible, however, that both could break camp with the major league team.  The Cubs still have some unfinished business.  They need to acquire a right handed back-up for Felix Pie and there’s still the possibility of a Brian Robert

Texas Ranger Commits Plagiarism in Man of the House Movie
    2007-11-27 11:20:02
Texas Ranger Roland Sharp (Tommy Lee Jones) receives help from the captain of the cheerleading team, Anne (Christina Milian) who relights his candle during his speech. Then he continues with his speech & mentions what Anne told him before the occasion in the Man of the House movie. When the football team is down on points, who are they going to count on to lift their spirits & give their best in the game? He tells the school crowd exactly the same thing & thankfully adds some more encouraging words to his speech. It is a fine example of plagiarism. PhhBBtTT! :P Anyway, the crowd roars in jubilation. Heheh :)

Cullen wants to stay a Ranger
    2007-07-13 15:39:02
While some have indicated that New York Rangers forward was happy to oblige to a trade out of the Big Apple, that is not the case according to Larry Brooks of the New York Post. “I haven’t said anything of the sort to anyone,” Cullen told The Post by phone yesterday from Nashville, Tenn., where he is appearing at an NHL charity event. “I haven’t asked to be traded, I haven’t said that I’d like to be traded, and I don’t want to be traded.” Rumors of Cullen’s departure arose as some speculated the Rangers needed to make a move to cut some payroll. However, the Rangers are not in immediate danger of going over the salary cap. Thus “there’s no need to create personnel issues by moving Cullen and thereby creating a potential weakness at a position of strength.” “I guess like everyone else, when we signed [Scott Gomez and Chris Drury], I wondered about the (salary) cap situation and whether there’d b

New Ford Ranger in Bangkok auto show
    2006-04-03 23:38:09
The new Ford Ranger recently debuted at the Bangkok International Motor Show, though no plans to bring it to the US have been announced. The lines of the truck are distinctly American, but also modern. Inside the truck offers more refinement than before and comforts like a CD player with MP3 capability. Both the Rangers 2.5 liter and 3.0 liter DURATORQ diesel engines offer more power and improved fuel economy over the engines they replace. Variable geometry turbochargers help both engines produ
