    Putting an end to the various contradicting stories of the Anant kidnapping case, Adobe (India) CEO Naresh Gupta today said he had ''paid'' a ransom of 50 lakhs for the safe return of his son, and the police had been duly informed of the fact.Mr Gupta, while revealing the fact in a press conference -- witnessed by senior police officials of Uttar Pradesh -- here today said police played a major role in the demanding situation and, that unless for the joint effort of the UP police and the STF, his son would have not returned safely.Mr Gupta also dislosed that he had contacted an America-based kidnapping expert in this regard and a senior Asian expert was also roped in to solve the matter, as his primary objective was the safe return of his son.''Both the experts came to the conclusion that the abductors were not professional and so could harm the child.
