Management of Stock in Goods Receipt Process
    2008-03-25 00:26:04
SAP Service Parts Management (SPM) in ERP receives an advanced shipping notification (ASN) from the supplier, and communicates this to SAP APO, where a planned receipt is created automatically. Receipt of the ASN also triggers the automatic creation of an inbound delivery in SAP SPM, which SAP SPM communicates to SAP EWM. The goods receipt is posted in SAP EWM and communicated to SAP SPM. The quantity of stock increases in the storage location assigned within the SAP EWM mapping of stock types to storage locations. This stock increase is visible in SAP EWM, SAP SPM, and SAP APO. After the goods receipt posting, the putaway process can begin in SAP EWM. The SAP EWM-internal transfers during putaway can only be tracked in SAP EWM, but not in SAP SPM and SAP APO, where they remain in the storage location with restricted availability. The goods movement in the warehouse is executed on the basis of transfer orders. When the transfer order for putaway to the final bin (that is to say, one o...

    Save Your Receipt
    2008-03-21 22:54:00
I had a funny moment at work today.  After getting my post-lunch coffee, Cubs mug of course, I stopped to chat with a co-worker, Ralph (fake name), and we joked about the Spring weather (blizzard, we closed the office a few hours early).  He mentioned his new Theriot jersey just arrived. I put my mug down and expressed my concerns. I started with “Oh, you’re one of those guys” (this is typical ‘humor’ from me, so it wasn’t a diss).  He was quite surprised, no kidding, to know that there are people that don’t like Theriot.  I went over the usual stuff (can’t hit, that’s not a bat but a wet newspaper, not a real good fielder, not as fast as other low OPS guys who hang out at the top of orders).  What I told him was that I liked Theriot, appreciated his hustle, but it didn’t buy him anything better than utility infielder or 7th/8th in the order.  He’s the weakest link of the team, and he’s not awful, but he’s not good either....

    2007-07-24 19:52:35
I was finding through my lot of earphones because the ones I was using was having some sound imbalance. It just irritates me because when I hear songs I don't like somebody irritating me! Suddenly, I come across this:-This is the receipt which I found near the headphones below. It's around 9 years old!!!These Panasonic headphones were good at that time but now it's utterly crap! With the 24K still it feels I am hearing the white noise from a radio! For more proof! :)P.S:- I just finished downloading Kilradio's A.M.E.R.I.K.A and Do you know! They are excellent songs for hardcore punk rock fans from the album Raised on Whipped Cream! ...

    A Receipt for Caveach.
    2007-05-21 21:52:00
Today, May 22nd … Major Thomas Mitchell, a distinguished military man of Scottish birth was appointed Surveyor-General of NSW in March 1827. His exploratory expeditions made a huge contribution to the mapping of inland Australia, but he was said to be a difficult, haughty man. No doubt Major Mitchell’s wife, Mary was long-suffering on both counts. I wonder, when she found out that she was to be sent out to the colonies, did she relish the adventure, or dread the life ahead of her? Mary kept a manuscript book of recipes inscribed with this date in 1827. Did she bring it with her? Was it a gift from anxious female friends and relatives? The waters of New South Wales had fish in abundance, and it is to be hoped that she made much use of the recipe for ‘caveach’ in the book. The OED says that to caveach is ‘to pickle mackerel or other fish according to a West Indian method.’ ‘Caveach’ sounds suspiciously like ‘ceviche’, does it not?. Surely both words have th...
