| Abdominoplasty Help - How You Can Recycle Fat | | 2008-05-31 07:37:00 | | Ah… its time now to do your bit for the environment. In my previous post I told you about the effect your liposuction-ed fat has on the environment. Here I’ll let you in on what you can do with this fat.Cosmetic fat transfer surgery is a wonderful counterpoint to offsetting your carbon footprint. Plastic surgeons can utilize the fat that they remove from your belly during a lipoplasty or a tummy tuck in some other parts of the body that require it. For instance, for pear-shaped women a fat transfer surgery removes fat from the stomach or the lower body and shifts it to the breasts. So what you have is a breast augmentation combined with a tummy tuck procedure. Alternatively, if there has been less fat that needs to be disposed you could think about transferring it in the facial area. But this is only if you have cheeks that are hollow or a chin that is highly diminished. Buccal fat implants and chin implants are some great plastic surgery techniques that can be combine | | By: Abdominoplasty Beverly Hills | | |

| Old tech, recycle / destroy? | | 2008-04-14 10:54:32 | | Saw this post on Wired and it got me thinking: what's the best way to dispose of old technology? Ever feel guilty leaving half a plate of food uneaten and then watch a commercial about starving children in Africa? Yeah, well that goes for technology too. I'm kind of upset that old technology rather than being recycled is being destroyed ... for entertainment.

You load up your photos and set a screen saver to run continuously. Since you already own everything it is way cheaper than even the cheapest digital photo frame. If you are feeling philanthropic, there are many lesser known local charities that provide computers for those who can’t afford them. Even a classic Pentium can run word processing but realistically if you have a Pentium 3 it is probably going to be of value for someone. I let my old clients know I will take their outdated computers and if they are over burdened with them, they will often deliver them to me. I always caution them that they should insure there is nothing on the hard drive that they value. It is a lot easier getting rid of the machines if there is an OS on them but even without an OS there are homes for these abandon machines. | | PC RECYCLE “ REFURBISH ” | | 2008-01-31 02:26:38 | | Refurbishing an old approach to PC recycling, For years, people have proposed updating and reusing old pcs, because of higher demand of personal computer today generation and also for the reason of higher cost of branded PC’s. Even those clone pcs or generic brand are also very expensive nowadays. So that many computer store here in the Philippines open their services as a “ REFURBISH STORE“, where you can find second hand pc purchase from other country with a very affordable price indeed. As my opinion say is, its better to buy refurbish pc if you’re a newbie person in learning to used PC, Why? because you can save money as well as bought more of it. But many say that refurbish kind of pcs have a little time of life to used, but for me, its up to the user and I think even your not known well using pcs is not the fact that you can break it. For all of us known, many Filipino people are level-headed and I can say is that they must have hands-on of learning so they can | | By: Pinoy Technology | | |

| | Recycle your Christmas Tree | | 2007-12-27 11:32:00 | | Did you know that, according to the National Christmas Tree Association, there are between 30 and 35 million Christmas trees cut down each year? They plant another 56 million each each to make up for it, but imagine 30 million Christmas trees sitting in some landfill somewhere, taking up space and taking years to decompose. Not ideal. The I Dream of Greenie alternative: recycling your tree, which is my plan this year. My neighboring town is offering this service. I just bring it to the designated location, and they mulch it up and use it for ground cover on city and Adopt-a-spot locations. Some municipalities actually pick up at your house- what a deal! You can also go to the National Christmas Tree Assocation and enter your zip code to find a location near you. | | By: I Dream of Greenie | | |

This ad campaign is to encourage the Chinese to recycle dildos. They don’t suggest that pass them on to a younger sibling like a good pair of jeans, they mean deposit them to selected outlets so the rubber can be turned into something new, like the tongue scraper part of a toothbrush. Who knows?

| | Recycle your jeans and get a pair of sandals | | 2007-05-20 11:00:42 | | There must be thousands of pairs of jeans around that are no longer worn for some reason or other, maybe they are old fashioned, worn our or just don’t fit anymore, so apart from throwing them away, what else can you do with them?
If you live in the UK, you can send your unwanted jeans to a company called Recycle Your Jeans and in return they will send you back their product, which is a pair of sandals made from the denim of other peoples old jeans.
A few little facts of interest:
Recycling textiles saves on pesticides, fertilizers, processing chemicals and energy.
If every person in the UK used one item of recycled clothing per year, the amount of processing water saved would fill an average UK reservoir.
Our Kalahari sandals have the lowest transport footprint of any sandal on the market because they are made in the UK, not 5,000 miles away as 99% of the footwear on sale in the UK is.

| | Recycle Old DVDs and CDs | | 2007-05-19 21:59:24 | | When I was in grade 11, I had to make a mousetrap car for Physics class. For the wheels, I used four CDs. I came second too! The team who won used weight bearings. Cheaters.
However, this great website Recycling CDs shows a new way you can recycle your CDs and DVDs when you are done with them (thanks to iPods!) or have scratched them and ruined them forever. CD clocks! They have a form you can fill out, and they’ll take your CDs from you.
Or if you don’t have any CDs (thanks to iPods!) Check out their wide selection of CD and DVD clocks to choose from. And, if you don’t like any of their designs, you can create your own!
Each clock is approximately $11.93. Check them out here!
