Mudra Yoga - Redirect Sexual Energy
    2008-05-22 08:22:38
Vajra is 'thunderbolt' or 'lightening'. It is also the weapon of Lord Indra means 'mighty one'. Vajra in this context refers to the vajra nadi which governs the urogenital system. It is the second innermost layer of sushmna nadi. Vajra nadi is the energy flow within the spine which governs the sexual systems of the body. In mundane life it is responsible for the sexual behaviour and this aspect has been termed 'libido' by Dr. Freud and as 'organe' by Dr. Reich. In tantric sadhana this energy is not suppressed but it is awakened and redirected. Oli mudras (vajroli, sahajoli, amaroli) are those which specifically sublimate sexual energy into ojas (vitality) and kundalini shakti.According to Hatha Yoga Pradipika, if vajroli is well practised, even in an otherwise free lifestyle, that yogi's attainments in life will be greater, and a greater source of vital and mental power will become available to him. A few great yogis and masters had these experiences and have, therefore, instructed the

Drive Ginormous Traffic: Redirect Microsoft.com To Your Domain
    2008-04-18 14:00:00
Before I get to the meat of this post, let me tell you now that you will NOT be able to actually grab microsoft.com's traffic for yourself.  I used that title as an example of what this post is about, which is using expired domains to drive traffic to your site.  Besides, Billy G. would never let microsoft.com expire. There are a ton of articles out there that profess the benefits of purchasing expired domain in order to utilize the traffic remaining on those domains.  In How To Snatch An Expiring Domain, Mike Davidson tells all about his first experience with an expired domain.  He indicated that he purchased the domain for $18.95 and in two and a half months, made $369.  Another article, posted by Mike Santiago on MakeMoneyOnTheInternet.com, talks a lot about not only the existing traffic, but about building the domain up so it can eventually be sold for a higher price.  Although a lot of the articles out there talk about making money on the site

    301 Redirect for SEO
    2008-04-18 08:00:00
A 301 redirect is a method of redirecting a request for one particular page to an alternate URL.  This method indicates to the search engines that the redirection is permanent.  This is as opposed to a 302 redirect (temporary redirect).  301 redirect is of benefit to the site owner because the search engines will not look upon the redirection as a trick or duplicate content.  It will see it as a valid redirection and it will go to the new site to pick up content. Some uses for 301 redirect are: You purchase a new domain and you want to move all of your blog's content there.  In order to not lose your search engine ranking, you should 301 redirect all existing URLs to the respective location on the new site. You want to split the content up on one site into multiple sites.  The specific content going to new sites should be 301 redirected. 301 redirects are easy to set up.  Learn how to set up 301 redirects for multiple platforms over at

Tip for redirect the command prompt to a folder of your choosing
    2008-01-27 11:30:20
As you probably know, when you open a Command Prompt, from the Start menu or by typing CMD in the Run dialog box, the Command Prompt window will always open in the C:Documents and Settings{yourname} folder. (Where {yourname} is the name of your user account.) The reason for this is that by default Windows XP is programmed to start the Command Prompt in the folder designated by the %HOMEDRIVE%%

    7. Redirect Domains or Redirect Pages
    2008-01-26 00:57:53
Redirect domains and redirect pages are domains or webpages which are only used to forward visitors somewhere else, be it within the same domain or to another domain. Redirects are very similar to doorway pages, which are since some time considered as spam technique and are being tracked down by Google. The problem is, sometimes redirects are required, for example if a domain or webpage name has changed. To make it worth, there seems to be no way for Google to detect whether a redirect is just or evil.Solution:Do not use redirects within your domains or webpages, unless you have to because you have restructured or updated your website. If you cannot avoid using redirects it is better to use a 301 error page as permanent director, instead of direct redirect methods. Use the redirect option for a limited time only, and skip it after several weeks of use.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Server.Transfer over Response.Redirect ?
    2007-10-02 13:02:00
Response.Redirect simply sends a message to the browser, telling it to move to another page. However, the statement Server.Transfer has a number of distinct advantages and disadvantages: 1- Server.Transfer conserves server resources. 2- It works in the web server, not in the user browser. So, it transfers the request and makes your applications run faster. 3- You cant use Server.Transfer to

    How to Properly Redirect Domains
    2007-07-04 18:38:00
I just finished adding a new tutorial to StepForth's web marketing knowledgebase based on redirecting domains in two different ways that are both search engine friendly and completely ethical:THE NEW ONE: Redirecting http://www.yourolddomain.com to http://www.yournewdomain.com is not very difficult you just need to know how. I explain this in the free tutorial I just put online today: how to properly redirect an old domain to a new domain.Redirecting http://yourdomain.com to http://www.yourdomain.com is a great way to capture link popularity that you have already earned but never properly benefited from. This might be confusing but consider that many people mistakenly link to your website forgetting the "www" in the URL. This mistake seems somewhat anticlimactic to them since they get you to your site either way. Unfortunately for you, however, Google and the other search engines consider these two versions of your domain as entirely different websites. As a result, that valuable link

Increase your Alexa's ranking by Alexa's redirect URL!
    2007-05-26 11:59:23
I think Maki Dosh is probably the first blogger who mention about the possibility of using Alexa's redirect URL to increase Alexa's ranking in 20 Quick Ways to increase your Alexa rank. Later, Matt Jones of Succesful Online Money Making expanded the idea and comed up with his Ultimate Alexa Redirect Experiment. In one part of Matt's experiment, he replaces his myBlogLog's community URL with the Alexa's redirect URL. This idea has been widely copied. Many myBlogLog's members, including myself, has replaced its community URL with Alexa's redirect URL.Ever since then, many variations of the trick have been developed. One blog suggests bloggers to use Alexa's redirect URL for comments. This could increase your Alexa's ranking, but you should be awared of two issues. First, if you try to increase your page rank by commenting on "Do Follow" blogs, you will waste your effort. Second, some blogs award its frequent commentators with a top commentator's section. If you are using redirect URL, you will miss a chance to earn a valuable inbound link. One blog suggests bloggers to use Alexa's redirect URL in directory sites, like DMOZ. DMOZ is a PR8 site. For me, giving up a valuable PR 8 link to increase Alexa's rank is simply not worth it.Furthermore, if you have adsense on your blog, and 90% of your traffics are redirected from Alexa, will it raise a few eyebrows on Google? I don't know the answer, but it will be interested to know. For people who are interested to use Alexa's redirect URL in myBlogLog. Here is the step:1. Click "Edit Settings" in your myBlogLog's community.2. Replace the Site URL with the redirect URL. For example:my URL is: http://makemoneyonblog.blogspot.comchange it toredirect URL: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?http://makemoneyonblog.blogspot.comBy the way, in Matt's experiment, Geoffrey from Alexa leave a comment sayng that using Alexa's redirect URL will have no effect on your Alexa's ranking. But like everyone else, I still use Alex

All Aboard The Alexa Redirect Train
    2007-05-14 04:30:59
My friend, the Brown Baron of BrownThoughts, bought me a ticket on the Alexa Redirect Train. Destination: the city of Trafficopolis in the state of High Rankings. I encourage you to do the same on your own blog. The purpose is to increase the traffic you receive as well as improve your Alexa ranking. Why Alexa? Well, it’s looked upon as an authority on blog rankings. And if you haven’t already decided to make money on your blog (or if you have) then having a decent Alexa ranking is good because advertisers like to advertise on blogs with a good (read: lower) ranking on Alexa. All you need to do is copy this list, paste it into your blog, and add other blogs of your choosing. Don’t forget to click the links after posting! Here’s my list: Alexa Redirect for MeAndMyDrum Alexa Redirect for Family WebWatch Blog Alexa Redirect for Brown Thoughts Alexa Redirect for Ordinary Folk Alexa Redirect for BobMeetsWorld Alexa Redirect for News Blog Alexa Redirect for Web 2.0 Alex

Redirect to www. with htaccess part II
    2007-05-08 23:59:39
There is a very handy plugin written by Mark Jaquith that allows you to redirect to www. with a convenient wordpress plugin. Many people including myself set up their blog and then realise later that it´s set up to ignore the www. Obviously, if you´re really slow (like me) you only realise once you´ve got quite a few incoming links. Mark´s plugin ensures that your blog pages don’t lose page rank and that you will get a clean 301 redirect which is search engine friendly and will make the Googlebot rejoice. In an earlier post I already gave you the plain .htaccess method for enforcing www. At the moment I´m also looking into a PHP method to achieve the same goal with headers but that is still being tested. I´ll keep you posted. P.s. When you are messing around with .htaccess and you delete your directives and the redirection still seems to persist you need to clear your browser cache! Took me a whole day to figure this out…
