| | | Protect yourself From Car Repairs Scams | | 2008-03-24 12:34:00 | | Things have changes significantly since the early days of the automobile. What was once relative simple machinery (seen from today’s point of view), it has developed to become a very complex system that makes a car what it is.This has some benefits, as into modern cars more and more technology and features are added, but also a series of drawbacks. When it comes to repairing your own car, things have become more complicated. Modern vehicles have many computers that effectively control everything a car does and a lot of electric schemes and that is why repairing your car in your own back yard is not feasible to almost anyone with a car newer than 15 years old .Because cars nowadays very complex. Everybody recommends going to a large repair shop when something goes wrong. But in the same time some car repair shops are more likely to take advantage of their customers' ignorance. No one expects you to become a car mechanic overnight, but if you are ignorant about your car and car repairin | | By: Cars and Speed | | |

| | The Monetary Benefits of Home Repairs | | 2007-12-26 22:14:00 | | Owning your own home comes with a certain amount of responsibility. You are required to pay the mortgage every month, you have to pay all the bills associated with having your own home, and there is also the issue of keeping your house in good order.Minor repairs are fairly easy to keep up with; many of them only take a few moments to do, and most people can handle this kind of small repair themselves. But what should you do when it comes to larger repairs? The rule of thumb here seems to be that the larger the repair is, the more money it will cost. It is this rule that makes some people try and avoid doing the necessary repairs for as long as they can, to avoid having to work out how to pay for them. This is understandable, but it can put the safety of your property in danger. It can also lead to problems if you are hoping to sell your home in the near future – and it can also lead to higher fuel bills.Windows are a common problem and often need repair. Although many properties are double glazed, many are not and this can result in heat loss if your windows are old and no longer fit properly. Although old wooden framed windows are relatively easy to maintain, it’s tempting to keep on patching them to get yet another year’s use out of them, when in fact the frames are becoming rotten and more exposed to the elements. If the windows are particularly bad you may even end up with a gap between the frame and the wall, which can lead to cold air and rain coming in. This in turn can cause damp, which is not a welcome sight in your home.Loft insulation is another essential if you don’t already have it. As heat rises, it can be lost through the roof of your home if you don’t take steps to stop it escaping. If you’ve ever seen a row of houses after a fall of snow, you can tell which ones have insulation and which ones don’t – the ones that do still have snow on the roof, whereas the ones that don’t have none. It just goes to show exactly how much money you | | By: All of Home | | |

| | House Cleaning, Repairs and Inventory | | 2007-08-04 03:59:15 | | Now that I seem to have more time on my hands I've started working on my Inventory system again. I've just added information and reviews of Luxardo Maraschino and El Dorado 5 Year Old Rum to the database. Hopefully I can add a few bottles each week and finish off that project. I've also fixed the Comment issue, so it now only takes a couple of seconds to post a comment instead of 30 seconds. It was a problem with the spam filter, seeing as how the Art of Drink is seriously swamped with spam (a couple hundred a day). Boo. I'm also testing an upgrade to the new Movable Type 4.0 software, so things may go wonky at times, but hopefully not. Other than that thing are running smoothly.
