| Flyer Fix…Ricky Williams | | 2008-08-03 22:37:57 | | We held off as long as we could. There is an outspoken group, a mini-cult if you will, of TJI staffers who have been demanding that we dedicate blog-space to the notorious Ricky Williams. So,...

| | Video Time: Ricky Williams | | 2008-05-10 00:00:43 | |
It's Saturday, so let's get to a couple of videos.
Today I thought we'd watch a little of Ricky Williams back in his prime. Both of these clips are from the week 13 game in Buffalo back in 2002. Notice that great burst through the line and then the finishing speed to break away from everybody. What a combination of power and speed this guy once had.
The first video is below. The second is after the jump.
So that's if for now. Barring any breaking news, I'll see you back here on Sunday night/Monday morning. Have a good weekend, all!

| Ricky Williams to Get the Starting Nod | | 2007-11-26 09:58:46 | | Will Ricky’s crouching tiger help the Dolphins tonight against Pittsburgh?
You can stop all the speculation heading into tonights game. With Jesse Chatman hurt and Patrick Cobbs being pretty mediocre, Ricky Williams will reportedly get the starting nod for the Dolphins tonight when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Considering the type of defense [...] | | By: SporTech Matter
| | Ricky Williams to seek reinstatement in October | | 2007-09-15 04:29:02 | | In what seems to be a recurring theme annually in South Florida, Steven Wine of the Associated Press is reporting that suspended Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams is planning to seek reinstatement by the National Football League shortly after October 1, according to Williams’ attorney, David Cornwell.
Let’s assume that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reinstates [...] | | By: NFL GridIron Gab
| | Daunte Culpepper/Ricky Williams Updates | | 2007-06-29 22:33:31 | | Just some afternoon updates for you guys. First of all, Daunte Culpepper's arbitratio hearing has been postponed until Tuesday. It was originally scheduled for today. It was delayed because of the person hearing the case had flight issues. This hearing is due to the fact that Culpepper is fighting to be released, saying the Dolphins violated his contract by not allowing him to practice in mini-camp. However, he was able to practice in individual drills. He just received no snaps in the team drills. That, my friends, is not grounds for any violations. It's the same as the 4th string QB not getting any reps. It happens. As for Ricky, John Clayton is reporting that Williams will apply for reinstatement come September. However, even if he is reinstated, it isn't likely he remains with the Dolphins. In fact, it's unsure if any team would want him. In my opinion, I think it's 50/50 right now as to whether or not Roger Goo | | By: The Phinsider | | |

| | Ricky Williams Issues a Statement, Did He Really Fail the Test? | | 2007-05-12 22:00:56 | |
On the heels of the announcement that Ricky Williams has failed yet another drug test, Ricky released a personal statement via his agent Leigh Steinberg regarding his personal health, the news that came out yesterday and his future in the NFL. Per Greg Bedard’s Palm Beach Post article…
“Due to the recent reports about me failing a drug test, I feel it is appropriate for me to issue this statement,” Williams said. “Last month, following a psychological evaluation requested by the NFL, we — the psychiatrist and I — came to the realization that there were a few things I needed to iron out about myself in order to make my return to the NFL as successful as possible.
“I am an honest, God-fearing man who is intensely dedicated to being the best person I can be on and off the football field. There is no need to smear my name or to defame my character for the sake of news. When the time is right, God willing, I will be back on the field scoring tou | | By: SporTech Matter
