What a day and what a game at Wrigley Field on Tuesday afternoon. A combined 18 runs on 25 hits were scored between two long time rivals in an afternoon that can simply be described as a hitter's day at the Friendly Confines. The Cubs offense jumped on Wandy Rodriguez early and often and before the 3rd inning began Lou Piniella's crew was up by a 6-1 score. But the Cubs were unable to tack on to their lead and the always dangerous Astros' offense, led by Carlos Lee, scored 6 unanswered and led 7-6 when Reed Johnson stepped to the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Johnson led off the inning with a single to right center and advanced to 3rd on a double to right by Mark DeRosa on a ball that was misplayed by Hunter Pence. This past week has been filled with ups and downs. The best thing about it was that I got a letter in the mail telling me one of my photos is getting published. (Woohoo!) The worst thing, my laptop stopped functioning due to a very dirty keyboard. I took it to be repaired yesterday.
Besides that, I got a jury summons for next month, a few more photo shoot gigs lined up before the end of the year, I found out that I actually start my college art class next month, and my new nephew Andrew was born. I also managed to write a journal entry, I haven't written anything in a while.
While my laptop is in for repair I'm using my mother's desktop computer as back up. She has graciously allowed me to take over her computer for my needs. :D I have owned my laptop for nearly four years, this is the first time it ever gets repaired.
