A Few Minutes With Sid Rosenberg
    2008-08-11 06:00:08
Good Morning! Many of you may remember Sid Rosenberg from his days on WFAN. Sid was the sportscaster for the "Imus in the Morning" show, as well as the host of the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants Pregame Show. Sid is now living here in South Florida, and hosts the morning show on 790 AM The Ticket, which can be heard live on Sid Rosenberg.com. Sid has graciously agreed to sit down with me and discuss his thoughts on the Giants upcoming season.   Sid, thanks so much for taking the time to give us your thoughts on the 2008 New York Giants. Let's get to it: Big Blue View: Many people around the league seem to think the Giants last year were a fluke, an average team that got hot at the right time and rode the wave to a Championship. Do you agree with that, or is this a Giants team that can contend for a title for the next few years? Sid: I remember answering the same question on WFAN right after the Giants were demolished by the Ravens in Super Bowl 35. My answer back then was I...

As radio shows go, it doesn't get much better than Sid Rosenberg's in Miami
    2008-06-04 06:00:00
For many years, he was a staple on the Imus in the Morning Program. When it came time for sports, you'd hear his Brooklyn accent delivering scores and commentary. He'd go back and forth with Imus, and with Bernie McGuirk, and rarely was there a time Sid Rosenberg wouldn't say something that had listeners laughing in hysterics and scratching their heads. For many years, and for many fans, Sid's presence on the "Imus in the Morning" program was the reason for listening. He brought to the show an edge no one else could — including John Minko, Patrick McEnroe, Warner Wolf and, to an extent, even Mike Breen. His dry, sharp sense of humor brought the sports reports to listeners — and heck, even the regular reports of hard news and entertainment — in a way no one else could. It all came crashing down, however, in 2005, when he made one, simple and underhanded comment about Kylie Minogue. Imus yanked him from the sports chair, yet Sid would continue his 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. show on WFAN with ...

Milt Rosenberg is one of Chicago's most respected Radio Personalities. For over 30 years he has hosted his program on WGN News Radio 720. I was honored to be a guest on his show to talk about Politics and Blogging in general. It was truly and invaluable experience. The format of the show was a four-person panel. The Drowning Pool. Stuart Rosenberg.
    2007-07-17 12:42:41
The Drowning Pool is a strange sequel. Not only doesn't it continue Harper's attempt to make PIs hip and modern (more hip than modern, actually), it's also doesn't seem like the same character. In Drowning Pool, Newman's Harper is the standard 1970s Newman character. He's sick of the world, but he can't quite give up on it. And even though Drowning Pool has a familiar cast, it doesn't have the Technocolor glow Harper did. When the film started, I noticed there was nothing going on for Newman in the film, it was all about his exploration of the events around him. It all works out beautifully in the end. It's like a Chandler set in the modern day, without drawing attention to the time between the novel being written and the film being produced. It's a rather simple mystery, the kind Hollywood made all the time in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s and have always been the standard for mystery novels. (They're too expensive for Hollywood to make any more and probably even in the 197...
