| The Malicious Duplicity of Rush Limbaugh | | 2008-07-30 21:02:28 | | ENTERTAINMENT OR AN AGENDA?This week Human Events is honoring Rush Limbaugh. Mark Levin has a Human Events column that can only be described as nothing but abject fawning, gushing, and outright worship. I am fully aware of Limbaugh’s good points. He is well known for his charitable work, and he donates a tremendous amount of money to very worth-while causes. He is one of the single largest donors to leukemia research. For that, I am personally grateful. His donations may have been the tipping point in the medical research that is keeping my cousin Jim alive (and maybe even ...... | | By: The Pink Flamingo | | |
| | | Rush Limbaugh Sings: "I'm Dreaming Of Riots In Denver" | | 2008-04-25 06:28:49 | | Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh downplayed his "dreaming of riots in Denver" statement, saying that he wasn't calling for riots and was referring to warnings of trouble if super delegates decide the nomination at the Democratic National Convention. Limbaugh's comments on his syndicated show Wednesday prompted Mayor John Hickenlooper to say: "Anyone who would call for riots in an American city has clearly lost their bearings." Hear him sing: Limbaugh ... | | By: PhreQuency Ent. | | |

| | Rush Limbaugh Gets Hillary the Win in Ohio and Texas: MSM Furious | | 2008-03-05 14:46:11 | | Rush Limbaugh pointed out a very obvious fact today: The liberal media cannot stand when they are held to the same standards as Republicans. A few months ago, when Conservatives were furious that Liberal Democrats and Liberal Independents could vote for John McCain in the New Hampshire Primary and Iowa Caucuses, the MSM were talking about how wonderful Democracy is. They talked about how great...

| Rush Limbaugh Destroys All Opposition: Raises $4.2 Million with Harry Reid’s Letter | | 2007-10-20 19:30:07 | | In case you all missed it. Rush Limbaugh sold Harry Reid’s letter to Clear Channel requesting that Rush be censured for $2.1 Million on eBay. Rush then kept his word and matched the offer, making the total $4.2 Million. All the proceeds will go to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, a group that gives scholarship money to the children of service members either killed in war or in the course of public duty. Rush is on the board of directors of this great organization.Amazingly, Media Matters is still running with the fake “Phony Soldiers” story. These people clearly do not know when they have lost a battle. Rush took the Democratic Party nonsense in Congress and smashed them over the head with an anvil. It was simply brilliant. Now the only question is whether any of the Senators who signed the disgraceful letter to Rush Limbaugh, will match the donation as Rush requested. Let us see how patriotic they really are.Notably, Hillary Clinton was one of the people who signed the letter. But, I doubt she will meet Rush’s request. Pathetically, we know Mrs. Bill Clinton has enough money to match the donation, with all of her bribes, illegal contributions, and swindles. She certainly can afford to be generous. But, again, since it is not being paid for by taxpayer’s money, it simply is not a noble goal for the Socialist from the great State of New York/ Arkansas/ Illinois/ wherever the wind blows.Related EditorialsRush Limbaugh Sells Harry Reid’s Letter on eBay to Support Military FamiliesI Just Got Off the Phone With Rush Limbaugh Regarding this Moveon.org Email: They Want a Candlelight Vigil For The SCHIP!Call Your Radio Station and Say You Support Rush LimbaughMedia Matters Spouts its Own Flawed Study as Fact: How They Did It, In Great DetailRep. | | Rush Limbaugh Sells Harry Reid’s Letter on eBay to Support Military Families | | 2007-10-13 01:31:44 | | Rush Limbaugh today demonstrated he may be the most politically savvy person in America. After weeks of Media Matters, Moveon.org, and the Democrats in Congress, taking Rush’s statements out of context and claiming he attacked the troops, Rush Limbaugh clearly has won this battle.Harry Reid sent a formal letter to Clear Channel Radio, signed by 41 Congressmen, asking that Rush Limbaugh apologize to the Troops. I guess according to Harry Reid, Rush should apologize for having his statements distorted? Anyway, what Rush did next was truly brilliant, and patriotic. The entire proceeds of this auction, the entire high bid, will be donated to The Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation, a registered charity which provides financial assistance to the children of fallen Marines and federal law enforcement officers. Rush Limbaugh serves on the Board of this organization and has been active on its behalf. All costs of this auction will be paid by the seller... every dollar of your winning bid will go to this charity, which has to date distributed over $29 million.Best of all, Rush asked all of the 41 disgraced Congressmen to match the bid to demonstrate how much they really support the troops. Oh, how the Democrats have messed with the wrong person.(Rush Limbaugh Video Announcing the eBay Contest to Thunderous Applause)(eBay Link)Related EditorialsI Just Got Off the Phone With Rush Limbaugh Regarding this Moveon.org Email: They Want a Candlelight Vigil For The SCHIP!Call Your Radio Station and Say You Support Rush LimbaughMedia Matters Spouts its Own Flawed Study as Fact: How They Did It, In Great DetailRep. | | I Just Got Off the Phone With Rush Limbaugh Regarding this Moveon.org Email: They Want a Candlelight Vigil For The SCHIP! | | 2007-10-12 21:18:08 | | Folks, I just got off the phone with Rush Limbaugh regarding this email from Moveon.org. I subscribe to them so I can stay one-step ahead of them. They cannot be allowed to get control of this Country. Below you can see how they distort the SCHIP program in order to seek political gain. They even used a 12-year-old to lie for them. They have total contempt for their own subscribers; it is obnoxious. God help us if Hillary Clinton is our next President. When our kids get sick, having health insurance can mean the difference between life and death. Next week, Congress will decide which fate awaits poor children across America, when they consider whether to override President Bush's veto of kids' health care.1To win, we only need 15 more Republicans to switch sides—and the best way to make that happen is with nationwide outcry. So, on Tuesday night, we'll gather at candlelight vigils for the millions of U.S. children who won't get health care if the Republicans block the bill. Can you host a vigil in (City Name Removed)?http://www.moveon.org/r?r=3050&id=11380-8607116-qs7u_O&t=3Hosting a vigil is really easy. All you need to do is register a location at the link above, bring some candles, and follow a few simple steps in the short guide we'll provide you. We'll help you out every step of the way, and we'll invite other MoveOn members in your area to your vigil.Republicans think this is a political game—they've even gone so far as to slander 12-year olds who speak out for health care.2 It's time to solemnly remind Congress what's at stake for the millions of kids who can't see a doctor when they're sick. These kids are one vote away from getting health care. This is the defining domestic policy fight of the year, and the White House is pressuring Republicans in Congress to stay in line.3 But Republicans are under a heavy barrage of criticism, from last week's rallies to this week's massive TV ad campaign from MoveOn and our allies. To override Bush's veto, we need to raise the pressure one more notch in the final hours before next Thursday's vote. The vigils are being promoted by a giant coalition of children's advocates, unions, and progressive organizations. Our coalition is also generating tons of phone calls, letters, and petitions, backed up by hard-hitting ads. But these vigils are the best way to remind the public what's really at stake—kids' lives.Lots of people from your neighborhood are ready to stand up for our children's health care. We'll invite them. All they need is someone to help pull the vigil together. Can you host a "Vigil to Save Children's Health Care" in (City Name Removed)?http://www.moveon.org/r?r=3050&id=11380-8607116-qs7u_O&t=4Thank you for all you do.–Noah, Adam G., Daniel, Marika, and the MoveOn.org Political Action TeamFriday, October 12th, 2007P.S. Great news! Today in Sweden, former Vice President Al Gore accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to bring the world's attention to the climate crisis. The prize is a huge step in recognizing that the climate crisis is a threat to global peace and will boost all the work of everyone working to stop global warming. As Vice President Gore said in accepting his prize, "The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level."For more information and to read the rest of his statement, go to www.algore.com.Sources:1. | | Call Your Radio Station and Say You Support Rush Limbaugh | | 2007-10-04 05:56:51 | | Media Matters is now running a campaign to get Rush Limbaugh taken off the air. This is getting really scary since Hillary Clinton started Media Matters. If you go to their website, and type in your State, they will display the phone number of the President of your local radio station. Evidently, they want their Stalinist supporters, who never listen to his show, to demand he be fired. So, like we do with all Liberal grassroots campaigns on this blog, we let them do the work for us. I'm sure some poor intern spent hours creating this database to facilitate this garbage. Nevertheless, that makes our plan much better. Here is what we need you to do: 1) Click the link below; 2) find the email AND phone number of your local Radio President who broadcasts Rush Limbaugh; 5) Call the number and say you support Rush's right to speak on the airways and YOUR first Amendment Right to hear him; and 6) Copy the generic email below and send it to the President's email.Dear President X:I staunchly support Rush Limbaugh and condemn the fabricated attacks against him. I hope that you will defend MY 1st Amendment right to hear his opinions. Please do not allow a small minority of people to pressure you to censor him. We are in the majority, not Media Matters nor Moveon.org.Sincerely,NameAddressPhoneemailHERE IS THE MEDIA MATTERS LINK IN ORDER TO LOCATE THE APPROPRIATE INFORMATION. LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD.If you run a blog, make sure to LINK TO OUR WEBSITE to get as many people as possible to call their stations. | | Has Rush Limbaugh finally gone too far? | | 2007-09-28 08:14:31 | | Unfortunately, I think not...From Media MattersDuring the September 26 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Rush Limbaugh called service members who advocate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq "phony soldiers." He made the comment while discussing with a caller a conversation he had with a previous caller, "Mike from Chicago," who said he "used to be military," and "believe[s] that we should pull out of Iraq." Limbaugh told the second caller, whom he identified as "Mike, this one from Olympia, Washington," that "[t]here's a lot" that people who favor U.S. withdrawal "don't understand" and that when asked why the United States should pull out, their only answer is, " 'Well, we just gotta bring the troops home.' ... 'Save the -- keeps the troops safe' or whatever," adding, "[I]t's not possible, intellectually, to follow these people." "Mike" from Olympia replied, "No, it's not, and what's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media." Limbaugh interjected, "The phony soldiers." The caller, who had earlier said, "I am a serving American military, in the Army," agreed, replying, "The phony soldiers."He's going to come away from this free and clear. He left enough weasel/wiggle room in his statement to say that he meant that liberal groups are either hiring soldiers to voice dissatisfaction with the war or are using people dressed as soldiers (which is illegal) to promote their antiwar agenda. Given the fact that during the previous call he claimed to have the authority to decide who is and isn't a real Republican I have no doubt that he also believes he has the jurisdiction to judge the whether or not one's honorable discharge is valid or not. If he truly believes that then apparently the Viagra is going to the wrong head.I'm certain that Mr. Limbaugh will survive this scrape at the cost of a few listeners and live to bloviate another day. However if he continues to push the envelope at the current rate he has been he may very well end up with in a slot on satellite radio some day. That of course would require his sponsors to start pulling their ads due to public outcry ala Imus. While no such campaign has been successful so far, one can always hope.
