The Jota was built in 1970 as an experimental car to test new ideas for the upcoming Miura SV. It featured a lightweight body with extra vents, a split sump engine (implemented on later SV models), "Megaphono" exhaust pipes, and a bevy of bespoke features. After the car was finished, it was sold to a loyal customer. Unfortunately, the Jota was involved in an accident and was completely destroyed when it burned to the ground. However, when several of Lamborghini's customers heard about the car, they asked if they could buy one of their own. Lamborghini decided not to officially build a production Jota, but they did offer conversions based on the SV model. We decided to try the Roasted Butternut Squash Ravioli and a fresh pasta that looked like telephone cord.Not knowing what the ravioli would taste like, I decided to serve it with a lightly spiced chicken broth, peas, and cilantro. We liked that the raviolis had an abundant amount of filling. Unfortunately, even with such a light broth, the butternut squash filling was too bland. It was under-seasoned and lacked flavor.We enjoyed the telephone cord shaped pasta more, especially the shape. It's thick and chewy but lacks a bit of flavor as well. It’s not even July and we’re already talking about the Arizona auctions next January. It seems there may be a battle brewing over a 12-acre parcel of land that Russo and Steele and Barrett-Jackson both want. The Scottsdale property is adjacent to the current Russo and Steele auction site and has been partially used by Russo and Steele without permission in the past. It is also becoming a potential battleground for the two large auction companies. Russo and Steele is smaller and younger than Barrett-Jackson, but it has grown enough that it apparently spilled out of its leased land boundaries and onto the State-owned parcel in question. Russo is trying to renegotiate the use of this disputed land, but is running into unexpected competition. B-J is also looking into leasing the land for additional parking to accommodate big rigs and trailers that have filled their lots across the 101 at WestWorld.
