Speedily paced. The Saint Takes Over is somehow fast, running sixty-nine minutes, but quite full of content. It’s so full of content, in the first act, I was convinced George Sanders was somehow going to remain non-central to the picture, since so much time was being spent establishing the ground situation he finds himself in. And there’s no mystery either... the murder, if not the motive, is revealed rather early on. But it all still works--and this Saint is my first (besides the tragically unappreciated Val Kilmer one); I waited until after it was over to check IMDb and now I understand I would have known what was going on were I familiar with the series.
The story is engaging because, instead of revealing clues, the characters are continually wrapped tighter and tighter in an impossible situation. Eventually, it’s all up to Sanders to get them out of it, which of course he will, but he does so in a--while not unpredictable--always entertaining way. It’s a solid amusement.

El éxito de Saint Seiya en el pasado se vio reflejado en la variedad de los productos ofertados. La breve investigación que a continuación les ofrecemos trata precisamente de otro producto curioso, que quizá muchos de los coleccionistas que suelen hacer sus rondas por el portal de subastas de Yahoo Auctions Japan, lo hayan visto en más de una ocasión, pero que no tienen idea o por lo menos no conocen toda la historia que encierra este singular y raro artículo: los Saint Seiya Big Round Up.

Bueno, pues seguimos con esta tanda de imágenes de la revista de figuras de moda, "Project the Saint Cloth". Me ha sorprendido gratamente que se ocupara de casi todas las figuras de Saint Seiya editadas por BanDai, incluida las clásicas. Y me ha emocionado incluso que hayan recogido imágenes de los sets de gashapones de vinilo; aunque no hubiera estado mal que se hubieran ocupado de los cloth ups clásicos (o gashapones vintages, como lo conocemos la mayoría). Y nada, todo hubiese estado perfecto, si por lo menos se hubieran currado un poco más el contenido; si hubiese tirado un poco más a lo enciclopédico, que a lo "album de figuritas", hubiese tenido un 10 indiscutible. Pero esta revista tampoco sería una mala compra, creo yo.

Ahora que podemos ver más páginas de la revista, podemos confirmar que es rica en imágenes; aunque claro, el contenido - sobre todo en lo que concierne al tema de la descripción de las figuras - no es muy abundante. Pienso que lo que necesitamos los coleccionistas es una revista que tenga un estilo algo más enciclopédico, y con imágenes "menos vistas". Pero bueno, como digo, esta opinión puede que cambie en el momento que vea todas las páginas al completo y lea los comentarios de las personas que la vayan adquiriendo. Pero tampoco es que me importe mucho el contenido textual, el chino es un idioma que desconozco completamente.

Este mes saldrá a la venta una revista dedicada a las figuras de Saint Seiya, elaborada por usuarios chinos de la web All4seiya. Según las informaciones que tenemos, se editarán 5000 ejemplares para todo el mundo, contará con 128 páginas y del precio no tenemos certeza, aunque ya hay vendedores en eBay que la ofertan en pre-order a unos 32 €. También se ofertaron preorders de algunos ejemplares en la conocida tienda online TOYSIR. Más tarde actualizré con más información, de momento les dejo algunas imágenes.
