Will Alonso do Schumi or Jacques ?
    2008-07-25 00:48:23
After reading all that has been written about Fernando Alosno since his not that good German Grand Prix performance, a question popped up in my mind. Which way will his career go from now ? Same as two former champions Alonso left his title winning team to try his luck somewhere else. After winning his first [...]

    Schumi happy on his sofa
    2007-10-19 21:08:41
A year on from retiring from Formula One at the end of last year's Brazilian Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher will be sat comfortably on his sofa watching the denouement to this season's championship. It was at Interlagos last October that Schumacher produced one of the drives of his career, only to fall short in his bid to win an eighth world title as he lost out to Fernando Alonso. As advisor to Ferrari, Schumacher has flitted in and out of grands prix during the course of the season. But on this occasion he has decided not to visit Sao Paulo for Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix. "The World Championship finale in Brazil will be a great battle," said Schumacher. "I think back to the tension a weekend like this one brings to a driver, and to be honest I'm quite happy to be watching the race from my sofa at home this time. "It's now been a full year since I drove my last race and, looking back on that day in Interlagos, I've some very good memories that have stayed with me. "But all in all, my family and I feel wonderful with the life that we have nowadays." Instead, Schumacher will cheer on Kimi Raikkonen from the comfort of his own home as the Finn goes up against Lewis Hamilton and Alonso for the title. "Not only as a fan, but more as a driver you dream of a big fight like this, and it goes without saying that I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Kimi and our team," added Schumacher. "I'm sure it's going to be a thrilling race, just like the whole year has been an extremely exciting championship. "I am happy to see that no matter what has happened we have always remained competitive and consistent. "Despite all the changes within the team and the technical problems we have faced sometimes, the guys have done a great job."
