| | Adsense Adds Sliding/Scrolling Feature | | 2008-04-08 18:57:00 | | Many have noticed that Google's Adsense Contextual ads for the last week have had an extra added feature. A scrolling, or clickable arrows section which let the reader manipulate the ads to show "extra" ads that would not have prior, been shown. This has been in the works for awhile and after 3 months of testing was given the green light to be the "norm". As of April 2nd, this new feature was officially announced and released in their blog. For those that are wondering, clicks on the ‘next’ and ‘previous’ buttons won’t generate earnings, but these buttons will help improve both advertiser value and your potential revenue. When users click on the buttons, they begin interacting with the ads and are more likely to find the specific offering they are looking for, which can be good news for the publisher, leading to higher earnings.I suppose time will tell how effective these new features are for publishers, if in fact this will increase earnings. My thought is that in the short te | | By: Blog Me The Money | | |
| | Scrolling Ads under Adsense Text officially launched | | 2008-04-03 21:44:02 | | Normally, when the new features are going to be launched, Google usually and quietly testing them for curtain period to see how they are running for better improvement. Further, this is also a good way to collect feedbacks and ideas from its publishers to make these features the best among other competitors like AdBrite, BidVertiser or ClickSor....Now, it is the right time to announce this new feature even we have experienced this for more than a month ago in some places where Adsense text are placed but now most of it showing scrolling tab. After months of testing, we've just updated our text ad format to include 'next' and 'previous' arrow buttons for cost-per-click (CPC) ads. When a user clicks on the 'next' button, an entirely new group of ads will appear in the ad unit, giving your users greater control over the ads they see and click. While the ads the user initially sees may be relevant to a publisher's content, they may not be precisely what the user is seeking -- for example, a | | By: Blogging for Blogs | | |

| | Scrolling Text - Marquee HTML Code | | 2007-06-05 17:49:00 | | This HTML term Marquee is used to create a scrolling or sliding text. The text can move across the screen horizontally or vertically at a certain speed determined by you. Note, however, that while it looks nice to have scrolling announcements, advertisements, quotations, or links, having too much animation in your Blog may distract and irritate your readers. | | Tips & Tricks: Scrolling Text in a Frame. A Ticker Box! | | 2006-03-24 15:02:00 | | I wanted to put the latest updates and some statistics of my blog in one of the side columns, but hated the amount of space the text took up.For quite a while now, I tried to find a simple way to put scrolling text in a box, often called a 'ticker', as that seemed a nice way to condense the space the information took up.You can find several ways to do this, often involving scripts etc.., but the simpliest I found is by using a 'marquee'.A marquee begins <marquee withsomequalifiers> and ends with </marquee>. Everything inbetween will be displayed 'in a scrolling way'Some simple tutorials on the use of marquees, you can find in the HTML code tutorial and on HScripts....But it is really easy. The one I use on my page is:<marqueestyle="BORDER-RIGHT: 1px solid;PADDING-RIGHT: 4px;BORDER-TOP: 1px solid;PADDING-LEFT: 4px;PADDING-BOTTOM: 5px;BORDER-LEFT: 1px solid;PADDING-TOP: 5px;BORDER-BOTTOM: 1px solid"onmouseout="this.start();"scrollamount="1"hspace="5"vspace="5"scrolld | | By: The Road to the Horizon | | |
