It looks great there, clean but organic — fecund, [...] | | By: ArticlesModern | | |

| Wire Sculpture Jewelry | | 2007-11-11 13:05:13 | | Some wire wrapping is so good it just has to be called sculpture. You can take a gemstone of any shape or size and enhance its beauty by enclosing it in beautiful gold or silver frame. Creating wire sculpture jewelry is one of those crafts that fall into the category of there is no wrong way to do it.Because the tools needed are simple—pliers, pin vises, file, wire cutters, and mandrels—wire sculpture can be learned and performed in home studios.
Pablo Valbuena, a 28 years old spanish architect and artist, studied at ETSAM (Escuela técnica superior de arquitectura de Madrid). Through different projects, he studies space, and its relation with time and perception by creating artistic installations.
This project introduces the temporary quality of space, by transforming space in time. To do so, two levels are installed : a physical architecture, controlling space and shaping the base that supports the next level; and a virtual projection that allows the transformation in time. The sum of thes two levels makes the physical architecture sensitive to mutation and thus constructs the relation with time, space and perception. The light builds, underlines space, then substracts it, erases it, and defines new shapes, new boundaries. The installation also comprises "synesthetic" sounds, according to Pablo Valbuena

| Paris dealer decides to sell his "liveable sculpture" | | 2007-09-04 17:16:00 | | "The house is a sort of livable sculpture," Trigano said. "Le Corbusier invented a beautiful expression for his houses that I think we can use here: 'inhabitable poems.' You feel you are in a refuge completely isolated from the world. We lived there for 15 years. It was formidable. "The asking price for the four-level house, which is 400 square meters or 4,300 square feet, is €4 million, or almost $5.5 million. The site totals 6,000 square meters, or about 1.5 acres, and there is a caretaker's house and a garage.
