| The Seaport Train | | 2008-07-28 00:00:00 | | Out at the seaport in Saxman town
An old train engine lounges around
Forgotten and alone most of the time
Waiting for work on the bypass line
Back in the day he was happy and free
A useful and desirable commodity
Everyday work was the way of the place
But lately time passes at a slower pace
Monday morning and Tom comes around
Checking the engine for safety and ground
Perhaps with luck we’ll have work today
But then Tom leaves, he just walks away
Then at two pm Tom’s come back again
Loaded trucks in the yard, just pulling in
Fired up and alive the train sings with joy
A supply boat pulls in at the seaside wharf
Construction’s started in an outlying place
The engine is needed, big grin on its face
On rusty old tracks the train moves along
Loads up supplies for the back of beyond
Activity’s hot, workers rushing around
Time is important, the tide’s running out
Loaded with supplies the boat pulls away
Work’s done in the yard for another day | | By: GotPoetry - News for Poets. Place to Write. | | |

At the Chua Ve – the north’s biggest container port – authorities were unable to cope with the sheer volume of goods needing to be handled, said port director Vu Nam Thang.
