| Yankees vs. Royals Series Preview | | 2008-08-15 10:41:00 | | Yankees - Royals@ Yankee Stadium(3 games)After losing two of three to the Twins the Yankees head home for a three game series with the Kansas City Royals. The Yankees have lost 12 of 18 since winning 8 in a row after the All-Star break, and have seen their postseaon hopes begin to fade. They are currently 9.5 games behind the first place Rays in the division, and 6.5 games behind the Red Sox in the Wild Card.Kansas City enters this series losers of 7 of their last 8. | | Yankees - Angels Series Preview | | 2008-07-31 10:32:00 | | Yankees - AngelsYankee Stadium(4 games)After a disappointing series with the Orioles that saw the Yankees drop two of three the Yankees welcome the Angels into town. The Angels are the best team in baseball, they can pitch, they can play defense, they can run the bases, and now with the addition of Mark Teixeira they can really hit too. And luckily for the Yanks, they get to play them ten times in the next two months, starting off with this weekend's four game series. The Angels are 10 - 2 since ... | | By: Sliding Into Home | | |
| | Yankees - Red Sox Series Preview | | 2008-07-25 07:00:00 | | Yankees - Red SoxFenway Park(3 games)Heading into the last series between these two teams there was a lot of talk about how the games weren't as important, and would lack the intensity they had in the past. The Yanks were 7.5 behind, and the real division race was Boston and Tampa, and I guess at the time it was true. (Or maybe writers needed some nonsense to write an article about.)But this time around things are a lot tighter; Boston is now tied with Tampa for first place in the AL East with a... | | By: Sliding Into Home | | |

| | 2009 BMW 7 Series Preview | | 2007-12-18 06:36:00 | | There has been lots of rumor and spy shots or photos about the next-gen BMW 2009 7 Series saloon, now we catch some more pics from MotorAuthority, saying that, the styling of the next 7-series will be heavily influenced by the current BMW 3-series and won’t be as radical as earlier predicted. The car’s overhangs will be longer than the current model but will sit lower and wider, giving the car a sportier appearance. And most of the changes will be taking place beneath the new sheet-metal, in addition, the 2009 BMW 7 series adds a longer wheelbase and wider track as well as a range of new engine options including a hybrid version.BMW, along with GM and Daimler, has developed a two-mode hybrid system that’s expected to debut in the new 7 Series, and last month a prototype was even spotted entering GM’s Michigan proving grounds.BMW’s new twin-turbo petrol V8, which debuted in the BMW X6 crossover, will also make an appearance in the 7-series as well as a possible V8 turbodiesel. ... | | By: Autos Space | | |

BZZZZZZZZ…SWAT! NATS ARE BACK IN TOWN
The Marlins open the ‘second half’ of their season with a 3g series against the Nationals, part of a 10g homestand vs. the Nationals (3g), Cardinals (3g), Reds (4g). The Marlins are 8-6 (2-3 home) all-time in the first game of the ‘second half,’ including losses each of the last three seasons. Today marks just the third time the Fish have played the same team to start the season and the ‘second half.’ They did so against the Dodgers (L-W) in 1995, and against the Astros (L-L) last season.
ON THE OFFENSIVE
After hitting just .208 and posting just one win in an 8-game span from June 25-July 3, the Nationals entered the All-Star break on a 5-game offensive surge, going 47-for-163 (.288) with 5 home runs en route to a 3-2 recor... | | By: SporTech Matter | | |

Wow. Looking at those pitching matchups we are in for a rough road trip unless this team can get hot and get hot fast. The Padres are throwing their four best at us with our best chance of grabbing two out of four in the first two games of the series. The Fish usually hit well out west but haven’t fared well record wise the last few seasons. Hopefully yesterday’s walk off win will throw a spark up this teams ass.
West coast baseball is always a nuisance for me as I have to get up for work early. Luckily if the Fish start sucking it up I will have an easy out to get to sleep.
