"Sleepwalking" Movie ReviewBy Michael Aaron GallagherRating: 4 Stars (Out of 5 Stars)“Sleepwalking” is an awkwardly tender film that explores the bonds of family love and true devotion.Nick Stahl delivers a standout performance as James, an uncle who tries, despite his own financial shortcomings, to care for his abandoned niece Tara (played by AnnaSophia Robb). All rights reserved.AnnaSophia Robb once again demonstrates her incredible range as an actress, in one of her best performances to date. Her comedic timing, ability to deliver dramatic lines without rushing them, and to confidently take the lead in a scene, is setting her apart from her peers. As one of the film’s producers and stars, Oscar-Winner Charlize Theron demonstrates her behind-the-scenes talent to create an exceptional film. However, her brief part as Joleen (Tara’s mother) is perhaps one of...

    Sleepwalking in Paris
    2008-06-11 02:36:00
Marie Shek sits in a little office in a luxury apartment in Paris listening to the Israeli radio station FM 88 and making last-minute corrections to the catalog of the exhibition she is now curating. In another week, it will be sent to print, and she has to do the final proofreading. Doesn't she get lost in this huge apartment? "I do," she answered with a smile, "but I find refuge here, with my good friends" - namely, the many works of art and art books that fill the room.Shek, 51, a curator and lecturer in art and a mother of two, came to Paris two years ago with her husband, Israeli Ambassador to France Danny Shek. This was the seventh time she has packed her bags and started over. In her eyes, the repeated uprootings have some advantages. And she has not had to pay for her spouse's success: In every country she has come to, she has advanced her career. ...

    Fatigue May Lead To Sleepwalking
    2008-03-18 02:19:31
All of us will have our share of working too hard and getting to the point of being too fatigued. We all know the consequences such as weakened bodies and drowsy feeling whenever the lack of sleep persists. However, it may also lead to our bodies being somewhere at some place without our knowledge of [...]...

    Sleepwalking...
    2007-12-19 05:44:00
The illness I suffered from during the weekend is still refusing to leave my body, so frustratingly I continue being extremely tired. A working day of 8 hours is certainly more than I can handle right now, as staying focused/concentrated/interested is pretty difficult (virtually impossible). But soon Christmas is upon us and hopefully the days off will provide me with some much needed rest.Despite being somewhat disappointed with their recent concert, I have nonetheless bought tickets for the next Kent concert in Copenhagen (February 23 next year). Speaking of the Swedish quartet. Here's the video for the second single from Tillbaka Till Samtiden called Columbus, which captures my current state pretty well (thanks Chris)! No matter how strange this may sound, the Gothenburg music scene isn’t all about indie pop. Male/female Italian inspired disco pop duo Sleepwalk has just published a pretty nice new track called In Secrecy (nice? - well that's if you’re into this type of music)! I’ve added the older track Disco From Italy to the mix, as the title of that one says it all – don’t you think?+ In Secrecy+ Disco From ItalyDanish newspaper Ekstra Bladet is running a poll in an attempt to determine “who is the worst songwriter in Denmark?”. Who you should vote for is really a no-brainer and my prick has received 40% of all votes so far!US quartet Benzos is giving away their first independent release Coupe d'état. It will immediately be added to my current favorites.+ Coupe d'état...

    Britian: sleepwalking into class war
    2007-09-24 21:13:42
Can you hear the distant rumble of discontent? I can from the British middle classes. Dutifully paying their taxes and struggling to pay the mortgage, they find it hard to restrain their fury at the behaviour of the super-rich - that “micro-class” of private equity buccaneers, hedge [...]...

    Sleepwalking...Until The Ninth
    2007-05-14 01:52:00
The Red Sox pulled off a simply miraculous win at Fenway on Mother's Day today, when the Baltimore Orioles bullpen imploded in the ninth after starter Jeremy Guthrie pitched 8 1/3 innings of terrific baseball. The Sox were down 5-0 and seemingly done for the afternoon. Coco Crisp hit a popup on the infield that catcher Ramon Hernandez dropped for an error. Then Baltimore manager Sam Perlozzo inexplicably took out Guthrie, who only threw 85 pitches, for Danys Baez. Guthrie had the Sox' number all day, allowing only 3 hits. He certainly didn't look tired. I thought Perlozzo did the Sox a favor, and they sure paid him back for it.David Ortiz doubled, scoring Crisp, and Wily Mo Pena singled, and then closer Chris Ray came in. He walked J.D. Drew and Kevin Youkilis to force in a run, and Jason Varitek doubled in two to make it 5-4. Eric Hinske was intentionally walked. Alex Cora then hit a grounder to Brian Roberts, who threw home for the force, but the replay looked like Youkilis was sa...
