| | Sliver of a Conscience | | 2006-02-15 16:37:00 | | I am compelled to write how I feel because I am just an insignificant person in this huge world. I have no money, nor power, I'm down to earth, traditional, and I don't waste time on politics. Politics and organized religion, which is almost the same thing, bring people stress, wrinkles, heartburn and disappointment. For me to get involved within the ranks of politics would be like joining some of the greediest and power hungry people on the planet. Notice how I said "some of the greediest." They would know that fighting in wars; deceiving young men into thinking they are fighting for their country, while murdering others is wrong. They would know, that passing ridiculous laws that compel others to do things against their spiritual conscience is wrong. Is there anything right about the political agendas that face the individual today? Or that face society in general? We can further state that most of the political and religious agendas of the world are morally, ethically and spiritually wrong. What does this mean?
