| | By: Web Dois Ponto Zero | | |
| | | Snippets of Conversation from Yesterday's Ride | | 2008-05-24 07:23:15 | | I had Sadie, Leon, Ricardo and Wilson with me yesterday. Here are some snippets of conversation from 2 7th graders, a 6th grader, and a 2nd grader:Wilson: (after Leon mentioned Forrest Gump, sounding exactly like the character) "My favorite part is when he got shot in the Buttocks)Leon: When we were in foster care at our first foster home I had to share a room with this crazy kid. One night he heard me snore a little bit and thought I was a monster and started screaming and screaming.Ricardo, man of few words (to Sadie when she told him she thought she saw Dandruff): Dan Ruff? Who is Dan Ruff?Sadie: (when responded to Leon's question, "I wonder how much Mom's arm weighs") I bet her arm weighs more than Wilson.Sadie (real name Mercedes, which she goes by at school, talking to Leon: My math teacher calls me BMW. Do you know what that stands for?Leon: (in response to Sadie's Question): Big Man's Weiner... | | By: Never a Dull Moment | | |

| Post-Clincher Snippets | | 2008-04-02 14:12:32 | | Because I'm still reveling in the Avs' once-automatic securing of a playoff spot, I'll add just one more little post today. Just a couple of interesting things. In case you didn't already hate the Calgary Flame-Outs as much as I do, here's another chance. Their fans are cave men and the city's going to shit. Greg at Deadspin (and Fanhouse and like a billion other blogs), offered this great recap of the Avs' huge win over Vancouver last night: But sir, nobody worries about upsetting Vancouver. And that's because Canucks don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Colorado is known to do that. I'd suggest a new strategy, R2: Let the Wolski win. I wouldn't call this an official prediction, but rather a conclusion drawn from empirical evidence: If Peter Forsberg is healthy, Colorado will win the Western Conference. ... | | By: Mile High Hockey | | |

| Snippets from Last Nights Dreaming | | 2007-05-26 16:00:00 | | I got to sleep a long time last night. It was wonderful. And there's nothing like waking up to the sound of a husband vacuuming. Wow do I love that man.Anway, here are some snippets from my active dream life last night. Sorry, nothing is as hilarious as the Chimichanga dream you can see by reading the things that happened to me last night why sometimes I wake up exhausted, even after 10 hours of sleep.1) We found out that we misread our tax statement and that we actually owed Uncle Sam $6900 instead of $69.00. We had no way to pay it. People in our church were trying hard to help us figure how we could do so without having to sell the house or leave the church (they had many creative ideas) but I was the one, of course, with optimism and faith that it was going to all turnout OK.2) I was at a house, not hours, with a bunch of teenagers and found Mike in a room with Salinda and her new BFF who was in Mike's arms. It was alarming to say the least. Then he got in a car with m... | | By: Never a Dull Moment | | |
