    2008-03-22 11:26:00
From ESPN:TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees left-hander Andy Pettitte was scratched from his scheduled start in a minor league game Saturday because of back spasms. Pettitte said his back locked up while driving home after working out Thursday. Josh Beckett's Back Spasms Are Cause For Concern, For ALL Of Us.
    2008-03-09 04:55:00
Good morning on this Sunday, the first full day of Eastern Standard time. Wow, it seemed like Daylight Savings time came and went in a fortnight (that's two weeks). But now to more important news, news that provided quite the scare to Red Sox fans and coaches. Here is what he and Sox pitching coach John Farrell had to say..."We'll just have to wait and see how it feels tomorrow" was Beckett's only comment three hours after he felt back spasms and called catcher...

Sciatica, Muscle Spasms and Tired legsKnee point 4, (Fig. 13), leg point 2, (Fig 14) and ankle-foot point 5 (Fig. 15) are also effective points in low back pain, even though they are extremity points. They should be used bilaterally (on both sides). It is still a mystery why points remote from the injury are useful in acupuncture , and many yet unproven theories abound to try to explain it. However, we do not always need to understand a benefit in order to take advantage of it. Fig. 13Knee point 4 (Bladder 54)Located on the back portion of the knee exactly at the midpoint of the crease. See also Fig 30.To be used bilaterally for the back pain. Fig. 14Leg point 2 (Bladder 57)At the lower tip of the calf muscle in the vertical midline of the back of the leg.
