Google Spider Seeks to Punish Blogs with Sponsored Posts
    2008-05-31 09:12:07
It is possible that the Google spider has been programmed to seek out sponsored posts & quickly reduce or increase a blog’s PR. You may want to try the experiment at your own risk. Do plenty of sponsored posts on your PR3 blog, even at a normal blog posts to a sponsored posts ratio of 2:1, you will find that your blog will soon be shunned by Google.Well, it is part & parcel in the life of a paid to blog blogger at the moment. Google PR helps a lot, about $400 difference per month or more. It seems Google does not to have any part of the sponsored posts industry. I can do without Google PR but then again it has not much use for me outside of doing sponsored posts, well at least for the moment.

    Writing style for sponsored posts
    2008-02-27 05:18:37
If you’re ever leafing through blogs that do sponsored posts there seem to be two basic styles that people use when writing them. First, there are those which are pure advertising. They have written exactly what the advertiser has asked for and nothing else. Commonly in these you’ll get extensive repetition of phrases along the lines [...]

    Dreadful “English” in sponsored posts
    2008-02-26 10:50:42
Whilst almost all places listing opportunities for sponsored reviews say something to the effect that they’re expecting good quality English spelling and grammar, it’s becoming increasingly common to see absolutely dreadful grammar being produced by the advertisers themselves. Consider just a few examples from one recent opportunity which I rejected simply because the English was so [...]

Lost to Why Some Bloggers Delete PAID Sponsored Posts
    2007-11-28 14:28:23
I cannot believe that some bloggers actually take out their written posts for advertisers from their blogs. Firstly, it is why the link to the post is called a permalink. It means that the link is PERMANENT & not to be deleted. There is no reason for it unless of course you are deleting the entire blog because there are no sponsored posts in it. PbbHht! :P It goes for all types of post that a blogger has written especially for the sponsored posts since it is in almost all the blogging marketplaces TOS (Terms of Service) stating that the sponsored posts remain in the blog indefinitely

Avoid In-line Text Ads Sponsored Posts
    2007-10-20 15:29:18
One may notice that some websites & blogs have inline text ads on the website & particulary in the site’s content. One of the most popular inline text ads company is Kontera. It works like any other pay per click ad where account holders receive payment for the clicks generated by the high-lighted in-line text.I would not recommend bloggers who receive remuneration from advertisers at blogging market places t be having the inline text ads. Unless one knows how to prevent the in-line text ads from appearing in sponsored posts, many blogging marketplaces would find the situation against their Term of Service (TOS) by having other links in the sponsored post.

10.5% Average CTR on PayPerPost Sponsored Posts
    2007-08-03 09:14:59
PayPerPost recently concluded a study on the average CTR (Click-Thru-Rate) on PayPerPost sponsored posts. CTR as defined by Wikipedia is: Click-through rate or CTR is a way of measuring the success of an online advertising campaign. A CTR is obtained by dividing the number of users who clicked on an ad on a web page by the number of times the ad was delivered (impressions). For example, if your banner ad was delivered 100 times (impressions delivered) and 1 person clicked on it (clicks recorded), then the resulting CTR would be 1%. The result claims an average ctr of just over 10.5%. The study was done with 40,000 blogs and 8,000 advertisers on the PPP network. This is one of the highest CTRs you can get for any form on online advertising medium. This goes on to prove that sponsored reviews or posts is a great way to draw attention to your products and draw traffic to the site. It surely is not a replacement for other forms of online advertising, but is a form that is catching on and
