I began thinking about this after reading some comments on ACB, and for the first time in a while, I decided to change the way I've voted for the All-Star Game.
With the Cubs having a legitimate shot at the World Series this year, yes, as Overlord Bud says, this time it DOES count. As we've seen this year, if the Cubs do somehow manage to get to Baseball's Big Dance, having home field would help tremendously.
So, instead of voting for a lot of Cubs, I decided to vote and put the best team out there, even if it did mean putting Pujols in and leaving Fukudome out (sorry, bud).
And then I voted for the worst possible A.L. team.
Again, none of this will probably matter, since I'm just one of 2.5 billion that probably voted. But one voice, one vote, right??
Anyway, something to think about before the late night game. If you haven't voted yet, here's the link:
