| | | What I Did On My Summer Vacation - 2008 | | 2008-06-28 11:18:57 | | As potentially some of you might have noticed, I dropped off the scene and was replaced by a robot … had to get away, had a summer vacation to go on.
Where?
France … yeah, I know, odd choice, but there were a bunch of conspiring factors.
Why write about it here?

| | Diesel's Summer Vacation | | 2008-06-09 10:34:54 | | While Diesel is taking a well-deserved break from blogging this week, we present to you a special series of guest posts, lovingly entitled "Meet the Real Diesel."Today's guest blogger is Snuppy, aka "Crazy Aunt Bea," formerly of Central Snark, whose special bond with Diesel has transcended time, space and several restraining orders. Enjoy.Diesel's Summer VacationDiesel was the prettiest little girl I ever did see. Despite her dirty face, impossibly short hair, and the fact she wore dingy dungarees over a torn tee shirt, I could tell from the moment I shoved her inside my car that she was a child worth investing time, money, and bath salts on. And believe you me, I went about doing just that during the summer young Diesel spent with me on the ancestral family farm, located on the outskirts of Pixley, California.Like all children in new surroundings, Diesel -- or Dee Dee, as I preferred to call her -- was initially timid, and just a tad terrified. Truth be told, I was a little surprised... | | By: Mattress Police - Antisocial Commentary | | |
| | Summer Vacation Is Over and School Time Is Coming | | 2008-06-06 00:08:03 | | It was a tiring day for me. I had finished all my blog posts. After those, my children and I went to bookstore to buy their school supplies. Now, we just came home and write on my blog. After which, I'll finish my chores, clean up and take a rest.I always bring my little girl whenever I leave the house. She is so active, smart and sweet. She is only two so I never leave her to anybody else except my family. It's hard to take care of her. I get tired especially when we go out to have some groceri... | | By: My Journey | | |

| | My Best Summer Vacation | | 2008-05-11 11:43:00 | | While it may seem a bit out of season, my best summer vacation was a trip I took to Turks & Caicos in the summer of 2005 with my husband Tony. The minute the plane landed in Providenciales I was already relieved and relaxed to be away, and the beautiful turquoise water surrounding the island helped. If you follow my blog at all you know that it was on that trip that we received job offers and made our momentous life altering move out of the United States. Now we are planning another trip and I have checking flights & locations at dialaflight.com. Hmmm, perhaps a flight to Dubai and some touring around the United Arab Emirates? Could be interesting.Tags: Turks and Caicos, Providenciales, Caribbean, dubai, travel, lynda lippin

| | Summer Vacation in Bohol | | 2008-05-03 01:54:00 | | My summer vacation in Bohol is a great gift I received on my 25th birthday last April 18. I and my boyfriend went to Bohol last April 17-20 for our summer vacation. In the 17th we arrived at the Port of Jagna around 2:00 in the afternoon, at the Port we took 2 hours and a half to ride in a bus for us to arrived in Ubay Bohol. From Ubay we ride a “pot-pot” Boholano’s term for their motorcycle for about half an hour for us to reach the destination of Camali-an, the village where my boyfriend’s grandparents lived. I’m so happy when we arrived there because of the warmth pleasure that his grandparents, uncles and aunties gave. I woke up early in the morning at 5:00 on my birthday; my boyfriend and I went to the store to buy some eggs for our breakfast and I get my digicam and took pictures on the sunrise, rice fields and the animals in the fields. I really love the fresh air when you were there you will feel the full relaxation in your body, mind and soul. 8:00 in the mornin... | | By: My Expedition in Life | | |

| | Advance Reservation for Summer Vacation | | 2008-03-21 12:31:00 | | Summer vacation is coming in next month; planning a vacation we expect that it would be a great fun for everyone. Me and my boy friend planning to go to Bohol next month or maybe in the middle of May for our summer vacation. Bohol is the birth place of my boy friend, it’s one of the great places in the Philippines and I’m pretty sure that our summer vacation would be fun. As we travel around this coming summer vacation, first thing we should do before the event is to search or look in advance a reservation. We should book earlier for the flights, hotels, motels, vacation rentals, or even resorts that we like to stay in. As a traveler we look forward for the great prices and the leisure we want as we travel to our trip. Hotel reservations are the most difficult thing for booking especially this coming summer, because lots of people plan ahead for their vacation. While in the web searching about hotel reservation I come across a very great site for online reservation the hotelr... | | By: My Expedition in Life | | |
| | Summer Vacation 2008 | | 2008-01-11 07:05:00 | | It is mid summer in Australia, I will be vacationing on the coast for three entire weeks and blogging will resume thereafter. As noted in the image, my pen is down, yes, I do intermittently scribe some first post drafts in ink before that is, editing on the keyboard. I want to thank all my readers and commenter’s for making American Interests.blog a meaningful venture.I leave you with my latest post; five days ago, the U.S. Navy came impetuously close to armed conflict in the Straits of Hormuz, the subject of my latest post, “The way to war”.Once again thank you, and God bless.

| | | Growing Ranks of Younger RVers Log On To RVShark For Summer Vacation Guidance | | 2007-08-05 06:01:44 | | PALO ALTO, CALIF. June 12, 2003 ? Long considered the domain of frugal retirees, RV parks are soaring in popularity with younger, upscale vacationers. And to find parks that their peers recommend, the new RVers are logging on to RVShark (http://www.rvshark.com).
Vacations by RV will surge this summer. In its April 7, 2003 issue, Time magazine noted that ?recreational vehicle sales are booming,? with RVs attracting ?a younger and more affluent crowd.?
Launched in August 2001, RVShark contains reviews of RV parks in 27 US states and Mexico. Each review is based exclusively on the comments of RVers.
RVShark is much different than Woodall?s North American Campground Directory, the leading RV park guidebook. While Woodall?s details pet restrictions, overnight fees, and other facts often available on the RV parks? own websites, RVShark focuses on guest satisfaction. For example, RVShark?s entry for the LazyDays Rally Park in Seffner, Florida reads:

| | How You Can Organize Your Family Summer Vacation | | 2007-07-10 08:20:07 | | Planning a family or business trip can be hectic enough, but it just got a little easier with Trip Cart. You can explore destinations that interest you and make use of the tools it offers (for free) to help you plan and manage things.
One thing that I find most useful is the itinerary / map / diary section. Each entry provides you with a place to add notes and dates. View an online map of the area you have listed in your itinerary, and record your activities, likes or dislikes.
If you’re in an exploring mood, you can have your choice of interesting finds to be overlayed on a map powered by Google: golf courses, gyms, restaurants, etc. And being that the site is designed “by travelers, for travelers”, you find out things from their perspective by reading their reviews.
I find the site to be well-layed out and thought out, giving you more focus on what you came there to do: find a place to visit and have fun while you’re there.

| | How I Spent My Summer Vacation | | 2007-07-02 03:55:47 | | We started out the week easy–a dip in the pool at the YMCA, lunch with the cousins, and a lazy afternoon around the house. The next day we wandered a bit further from home and went strawberry picking at Jone’s Farm. Wednesday, feeling ambitious, we went to the lake with the cousins and played in the mucky water and chased babies before crashing at Shana’s place for lunch.
Thursday we decided to stay home, but filled the wading pool and played with some different cousins for awhile in the backyard before it got too hot to move. Friday we swam again at the Y, then went to see Ratatouille–which got Meg itching to do a bit of gormet cooking. I had the most delicious avacado-swiss burger for lunch!
Saturday we went to Quassy for Sikorsky’s family day and rode the rides and watched the kids swim and ate fried food and got sunburned and celebrated my birthday. Today we took Meg to camp where she’s going to do a two-week stint as a Teen Leader before fl... | | By: Smoochmonkey | | |
| | Summer Vacation - Booking Options For Your Summer Vacation | | 2007-06-03 21:48:13 | | Another perhaps obvious trend is the increase in accessing the internet. Again, this varies from searching for more information on a summer vacation destination to using online travel and vacation services to make actual vacation bookings. Certainly, for some types of summer vacation this can be beneficial due to the online discounts that can be available.
So, when it comes to booking a summer vacation, what are the booking options to consider?

| | Summer Vacation - Why Your Family Should Take A Summer Vacation | | 2007-05-26 18:09:30 | | Year on year, an ever increasing number of families make the decision to take a summer vacation. Despite the fact that a large number of individuals and families do take off and have a summer vacation, there are even more families that do not. Which type of family are you?
How often have you said or have heard someone else say “I need a holiday”.
