There are plenty of great supercar wallpapers out there to adorn your computer’s desktop, but the style of these wallpapers rarely change. Fortunately, Vcars.co.uk has created some great unique Supercar wallpapers, based on their 10 Fastest Production Cars in the World article that I featured, as well as many other great wallpapers of the same design that include some other popular vehicles like the Mustang, Nissan Murano, Honda Civic Type-R, BMW, etc. Each one of the supercar wallpapers features it’s own screensaver too, and most of the other makes of cars do as well.
Vcars has created some very cool and unique wallpapers here, but there are some complaints about the site that I have:
First, not all of the wallpapers are actually there. For example, if you try to click one of the McLaren F1 wallpapers, the page can’t find the file and gives you an error.

Still, I think it’s safe to say that she’ll let me get away with downloading a few supercar wallpapers for the computer.
What’s not so easy to get is a wallpaper at a decent resolution for todays computer screens though. Where you will find one for most of the flashier cars is at Vcars download section. For most of us, it’s the closest that we’ll get to actually owning the likes of a Ferrari.
Motoring news is always fascinating. Who’d have thought that the mini would have still been going strong after all this time? So many seemingly superior cars have long since fallen by the wayside over the course of its lifetime.

Even though it looks like a warped TVR, the Lightning GT Electric Supercar might prove itself to be a Tesla Roadster on steroids. With 700 horsepower, there will be three models available: a luxury version, a sports version, and an extended range version. The lightweight sports model will run from 0-60 in less than 4 seconds.
The GT will only be available in the UK starting in 2008, but if the company does well you can eventually expect them to make it to the States. At $300,000 though, you might want to stick with the Tesla Roadster for now.
We see these brand new car companies doing very well at creating these awesome, fast, rear-wheel-drive electric supercars, but when will we see a company create a practical, family-oriented electric car? While I wouldn’t want one, it would be nice to see this electric car trend take off. After that, I’m sure more companies would take it seriously and start making more similar models available.
