2007 Tokyo Motor Show: XS-V1 Sakura, YAMAHA'S RETRO ROADSTER
    2007-10-23 15:34:00
Yamaha just gives out detail of its XS-V1 Sakura prototype, a retro roadster at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. The Sakura XS-V1 looks very similar to the SRV 250/400cc V-twin cafe racer machine from the early 90s, produced for the Japan only market, but uses a 1000cc V-Twin engine. It's possible that the Bulldog 1100 might make a good donor bike in this regard if the Sakura goes into production.Jump to read the Yamaha Japan press statement"We will display the “XS-V1 Sakura” (special exhibition model / prototype) as a symbol of our long-nurtured corporate philosophy. This is a V-twin sport model with a look of “Japanese style” in the image of Yamaha’s first 4-stroke model, the XS-1 (650cc), released in 1970.Its design is full of XS-1 DNA, in its simplicity and functional beauty and finds new refinement in a retro-modern aesthetic. It is a model that proposes a very Yamaha and very Japanese vision of premium motorcycling life, bringing together the unique characteristics of a 1,000cc air-cooled, V-twin model with its strong pulse feeling and easy-going running performance in a finely crafted body that is lightweight and slim and defined by a low seat height. 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Previews and Spyshot:+ BMW 2008 M3 Saloon Unveiled at 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, Video, Pics+ Toyota Brings Nine Concepts To 2007 Tokyo Motor Show+ 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Cars: Toyota Crown Hybrid Concept+ 2007 Tokyo Auto Show: Suzuki Concept Kizashi 2+ Mazda Taiki Concept, 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Preview Cars+ Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X More Official Image Gallery Details+ 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI to Reveal on 2007 Tokyo Motor Show+ Nissan's 2009 GT-R global website goes live+ Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Preview+ 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R Ready To Rock 2007 Tokyo Motor Show+ Volkswagen V-Dub Up! Mazda Taiki Concept, 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Preview Cars
    2007-10-08 12:41:00
Mazda Taiki Concept, Mazda's latest concept car based on Mazda's all along "flow" design concept. The new Mazda Taiki Concept car is setting for premiere at the coming 2007 Tokyo Motor Show this month.Mazda Taiki reflects one possible direction for a future generation of Mazda sports cars aimed at helping create a sustainable society. The fourth concept car in the Nagare design series, Mazda Taiki further evolves the "flow" theme to establish a breathtaking presence that clearly distinguishes it as the next in the series, and which visually expresses the atmosphere - called taiki in Japanese - that wraps the Earth in its protective mantle. The basic proportions begin with the stretched coupe form of a front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout, the short overhangs, and the liberating feel of an all-glass canopy. The challenge to create "a design that visually expresses the flow of air" was inspired by the image of a pair of Hagoromo - the flowing robes that enable a celestial maiden to fly in Japanese legend - floating down from the sky. Inspired by Japanese koinobori - the decorative "climbing carp streamers"- the notion of creating an Air-tube became the concept word for the interior design. In accordance, from the dashboard and seats down to the door trim, the interior space creates the dynamic sensation that the flow of the wind is being visually depicted.Centering around the performance rotary engine sports packaging that is synonymous with theMazda name, technologies introduced for the Mazda Taiki include the next-generation RENESIS (rotary engine 16X), which sets new standards for environmental and driving performance, a front-engine rear-drive layout, a unique 2-seat configuration, and Mazda's rotary sports package, which conveys an image of lightness.Recent Posts of Global Auto/Motor Show:+ BMW Z4 Facelift Spyshots,May be 2008 Geneva Auto Show+ BMW 1-Series Cabriolet Official Unveiled, Spy Pics and Video+ Suzuki X-HEAD: 40th Tokyo Motor Show 2007 Preview+ 2009 Honda Accord Euro (Acura TSX) Spyshot+ 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI to Reveal on 2007 Tokyo Motor Show+ Volkswagen Dieselution Tour Educating U.S Consumers Greener Technology+ Toyota’s Lexus May Add More Powerful Hybrids+ Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Preview+ Maserati Granturismo Sports Coupe Lightening on Australian Motor Show 2007+ Spyker’s C8 Spyder Supercar coming to 2007 Sydney Motor Show+ 2009 Nissan Murano SUV Sucking The World+ 2007 Sydney MotorShow: Lexus LS600hL Hybrid, IS-F Sedan, LX570 Roadster+ Redesigned LandCruiser Wagon’s Worldwide Premiere on Sydney Motor Show+ Honda Motorcycle Exhibition for the 40th Tokyo Motor Show 2007 http://del.icio.us/rss/horisly

The U.S. market is expected to receive a 2.5L engine while Japan and Europe will make do with a 2.0L mill.Recent Posts of Global Auto/Motor Show:+ Volkswagen Dieselution Tour Educating U.S Consumers Greener Technology+ Toyota’s Lexus May Add More Powerful Hybrids+ Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Preview+ Maserati Granturismo Sports Coupe Lightening on Australian Motor Show 2007+ Spyker’s C8 Spyder Supercar coming to 2007 Sydney Motor Show+ 2009 Nissan Murano SUV Sucking The World+ 2007 Sydney MotorShow: Lexus LS600hL Hybrid, IS-F Sedan, LX570 Roadster+ Redesigned LandCruiser Wagon’s Worldwide Premiere on Sydney Motor Show+ Honda Motorcycle Exhibition for the 40th Tokyo Motor Show 2007+ Honda Accord Tourer Concept and i-DTEC at Frankfurt+ 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R Ready To Rock 2007 Tokyo Motor Show+ Volkswagen V-Dub Up! Already a legend, the next incarnation of the Lancer Evolution is set to be the ultimate high performance car.Prepare to be amazed - again! The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is the most comprehensive and dynamic performance car ever developed by Mitsubishi. It's a vehicle with styling that raises the bar on performance car looks and features innovations that are guaranteed to thrill. At the heart of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is an all-new all aluminium MIVEC equipped turbocharged 4-cylinder engine - a power train as serious as the flowing lines that surround it. 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R Ready To Rock 2007 Tokyo Motor Show
    2007-09-22 07:06:00
As 2007 Tokyo Motor Show coming closer, the 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R is all ready to rock on this year's Tokyo Auto Show. No wonder 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R36) is the most eagerly anticipated car in a generation. And we will keep the step of Nissan's official pulse. The 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R is still a legend before it even enters production. For six years the 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R has been the subject of intense rumors and frenzied speculation. Why is this car followed so closely? Because the Nissan Skyline GT-R R36 is expected to be the ne plus ultra of Japanese performance machinery; and after 30 years of waiting, it's finally America's turn to officially take part in all the fun.I thinks this 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R must rock the U.S. as the iPhone before. At the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan showed the GT-R Concept as the prospective successor to the R34. By early 2005, modified G35 coupes with Infiniti badges, oversize wheels and tires, big rear wings, hood scoops and bodywork protrusions big enough to hide exotic exhaust systems in back or intercoolers up front were spied at the Nürburgring. These weren't just tuner cars, but full-fledged prototypes of the next GT-R.Then in the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, another Nissan GT-R showcar appeared called the GT-R Proto; and the new, innovative shape of the next GT-R was apparent. Obviously based on Nissan's FM-code front midengine chassis, this GT-R would apparently use a turbocharged version of the VQ V6 with a seven-speed transmission and all-wheel drive. And at the 2006 New York Auto Show, Nissan's CEO Carlos Ghosn announced that, yes finally, going to debut at 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, the new Skyline GT-R R36 would be sold in the United States and it would be sold worldwide exclusively through Nissan, and not Infiniti. And apparently without the Skyline name. You are deserved to look forward to this 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R generation supercar at 2007 Tokyo Auto Show.Recent Posts of Global Auto/Motor Show:+ Volkswagen V-Dub Up! Volkswagen V-Dub Up! Coming to Tokyo,LA Motor Show 2007
    2007-09-22 06:21:00
Volkswagen's Up! concept after shown on 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show earlier this week, is coming to the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show and 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show (LA Motor Show ).Martin Winterkorn, head of Volkswagen, admitted the Volkswagen V-Dub Up! was likely to see production in a few years. We like the sound of VW heading back to its rear-engined roots, and look forward to seeing how the company does with it.Winterkorn also says VW will have variations of the platform to show off at both the Tokyo Motor Show 2007 next month and, in November, at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2007. What those might be, he didn't get into. Sedan? Wagon? Convertible? Hybrid? We'll know for sure within just a few weeks. And if that's not enough good news for Up! fans, he also hinted at a possible fourth variation. No date was given for that car's intro, butDetroit Auto Show 2008 in January would be a good guess.Recent Posts of Global Auto/Motor Show:+ 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Cars: Mazda's Rotary Coupe Concept+ 2009 Honda Fit Head For 2007 Tokyo Auto Show+ Frankfurt Spy: Citroen airs new C5 styling with cabriolet concept+ 2007 Frankfurt Show Spy: Audi RS6 Avant+ BMW Concept CS Heading to 2007 Australian Motor Show on Sydney+ Lotus 2-Eleven Track Star To Debut At Sydney Show 2007+ 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Preview: Mazda’s Rotary Coupe+ FRANKFURT SHOW: Brilliance Quietly Spread Around Europe+ Mitsubishi Show Its Tokyo Motor Show Concepts+ Frankfurt Motor Show Spy: Nissan Mixim Concept and Micra+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Limited Lamborghini Reventon Supercar+ Frankfurt Motor Show: Lamborghine Limited Reventon Supercar+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Mercedes-Benz ML 450 HYBRID+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Mercedes F700 With DiesOtto Engine+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Le MANSORY Convertible+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show Cars Preview: Geiger Biturbo Corvette C6+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show Cars Gallery: Ford nuova Fiesta Concept+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show: Land Rover will Be All MINI?+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show: Land Rover Goes All Baby MINI http://del.icio.us/rss/horisly

2007 Tokyo Motor Show Cars: Mazda's Rotary Coupe Concept
    2007-09-22 05:44:00
As John Neff of Autoblog.com said that, this Mazda Rotary Coupe Concept will show on the Mazda Stand at 2007's Tokyo Auto Show this October. This Mazda Rotary Coupe concept is based on the trio of concepts that Mazda debuted on the last year's Auto Show Circuit: The Nagare, Ryuga and Kabura Concept.Though no one could tell that whether these Mazda Rotary Coupe Concept images are offical release, but quoting from the auto cars fans of Autoblog.com, we can tell you that at least the head on shot of Mazda Rotary Coupe Concept is a touched up version of a Kabura sketch. Actually, this Mazda Rotary Coupe Concept looks mostly like a Mazda Kabura Concept.Anyway, whether or not these are official Mazda release, we are sure that they are showing a car we like to own. Ever since seeing the Nagare, Ryuga and Senku concepts, we've wondered how those radical concepts might translate into a production car, and we might have our answer in a few weeks. Stand your eyes on this Mazda Rotary Coupe Concept on 2007 Tokyo Auto Show.Recent Posts of Global Auto/Motor Show:+ 2009 Honda Fit Head For 2007 Tokyo Auto Show+ Frankfurt Spy: Citroen airs new C5 styling with cabriolet concept+ 2007 Frankfurt Show Spy: Audi RS6 Avant+ BMW Concept CS Heading to 2007 Australian Motor Show on Sydney+ Lotus 2-Eleven Track Star To Debut At Sydney Show 2007+ 2007 Tokyo Motor Show Preview: Mazda’s Rotary Coupe+ FRANKFURT SHOW: Brilliance Quietly Spread Around Europe+ Mitsubishi Show Its Tokyo Motor Show Concepts+ Frankfurt Motor Show Spy: Nissan Mixim Concept and Micra+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Limited Lamborghini Reventon Supercar+ Frankfurt Motor Show: Lamborghine Limited Reventon Supercar+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Mercedes-Benz ML 450 HYBRID+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Mercedes F700 With DiesOtto Engine+ Frankfurt Motor Show 2007: Le MANSORY Convertible+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show Cars Preview: Geiger Biturbo Corvette C6+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show Cars Gallery: Ford nuova Fiesta Concept+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show: Land Rover will Be All MINI?+ 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show: Land Rover Goes All Baby MINI http://del.icio.us/rss/horisly

Dubbed “NV200,” the study is the product of Nissan Design Europe and the automaker’s Design Center in Japan.see the official release:LONDON, England (July 23, 2007) - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., has today revealed a highly innovative small van concept at Nissan Design Europe (NDE).Called Nissan NV200 and due to be given its worldwide debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in October, the concept turns conventional light commercial design inside out… literally. Its most striking feature is a storage pod which extends from the van’s load area when the vehicle is parked.
