| | | Ventura, CA gets two NBC HD channels from Charter, more on the way | | 2008-08-07 01:08:49 | | Charter doesn’t have the greatest reputation in Ventura, California (or most anywhere, for that matter), but the company is apparently trying to garner some love by throwing in two undisclosed NBC stations in high-def just before the Olympics kick off this Friday. Customers will still be waiting until 2009 to see video-on-demand, but HD [...]... | | By: Free Software Download | | |

| | Tercera entrega de Ace Ventura sin Jim Carrey. | | 2008-07-10 20:02:00 | |

| | Jesse Ventura for Senate? And Franken's New Ad. | | 2008-07-09 13:10:46 | | This is a tough issue. Franken is right that there are too many Congressmen and women who leave Congress to lobby. Some even leave early. However, it's a shame that some of our most civic-minded and hard working citizens (good ex-congresspeople) would be prohibited from advocating for their causes because so many bad congressmen have sold out their souls for big business and more precisely big... | | By: Poli-Think | | |

| Ventura County commercial real estate market sees vacancies rise | | 2008-07-04 13:30:00 | | A slumping national economy has finally caught up with Ventura County's commercial real estate market.According to a midyear report released earlier this month by Camarillo-based CB Richard Ellis, vacancy rates for retail, office and industrial space throughout the county are up in the second quarter of 2008 as compared to the same time last year. The subprime mortgage meltdown and rising gas and food prices have begun to take their toll on the county's commercial real estate, a market that has generally proven itself resilient to economic downturns.

| | Venturing out for Ventura? | | 2008-05-31 05:04:13 | | I saw Jesse Ventura a couple of days ago on Larry King's CNN show. Jesse was one good form. Talking a lot of sense and speaking with a directness that some other political persons lack. He was up against a couple of seasoned characters who were more or less for the status quo. Jesse told King that he was considering running for the US Senate. What I missed, or they never talked about, was the guy he could replace. None other than Senator Norm Coleman, the man who took on, and was bested by, George Galloway. George showed Norm no respect, and it seems Jesse won't either. Well, in Jesse's case, it may be more a matter of settling scores over the war, keeping tabs on the spending, and getting Congress' nose out of people's lives.I sense a powerful tide in America this year for such policies. John McCain is stratching around in the Republican chicken coop trying to look like the candidate who will keep the status quo in safe hands. He wants the lobbyists on side, the analysts to stay analy... | | By: A View from Middle England by Arden Forester | | |
