| Nancy Pelosi may Have Violated Campaign Finance Laws | | 2008-05-21 18:31:23 | | As much as I would love to use this news to bash Nancy Pelosi, I am going to use it to bash John McCain instead. I am sure I may be able to find a little time to bash Nancy Pelosi before I am done writing.
Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich have been running a national commercial [...]... | | By: America's Watchtower
| | Court rules Fresno violated homeless rights | | 2008-05-16 07:56:41 | | Yesterday was the day that BlogCatalogue promoted as Bloggers United for Human Rights! I'm not sure yet how many bloggers participated, but I suspect a fair number of us did. Not me, though! A sick cat occupied my spare time in the early part of the week, and then a sick dog got the latter part of the week. If I'd just thought about it, I could have saved Saturday's post on International Tent City Day or Tuesday's post on the Topfree movement for Wednesday....but I didn't. Or I could have taken yesterday's post on excessive police force and made an explicit link to Bloggers Unite...seems, in fact, that about 80% of what I write is related to human rights in some way. I want to thank BlogCatalogue for recognizing and encouraging blogs' role in social change. This Monday, a federal court ruled that destroying the property of homeless people is a violation of the 4th and 14th Amendments to the U.S.l Constitution, and that the city of Fresno, CA had violated those rights in a series of... | | By: Michaelann Land | | |

| Goodell Says its Too Soon to Say if Pacman Violated Suspension | | 2007-06-19 23:03:14 | |
ESPN reports that while still waiting on the facts on the latest incident in which Adam “Pacman” Jones is alleged to have been involved, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said here Tuesday that it is too soon to say if the Tennessee Titans cornerback violated the terms of his suspension. Jones is being sought for questioning by DeKalb County, Ga., police following an alleged verbal altercation inside an Atlanta-area strip club early Monday morning. The altercation allegedly led to a shooting a few blocks away from the club.
“I would prefer to wait until I know everything that went on before I comment specifically on the incident,” said Goodell, who is attending the NFL player health and safety conference dealing with concussions. “So I don’t know if ‘disappointed’ is a fair term to describe how I feel. When I met with Pacman last week, he told me he was taking steps to change things in his life, and he seemed sincere about i... | | By: NFL GridIron Gab
