| | Get a Free Link from the Virtual Marketing Blog | | 2007-09-10 03:32:30 | | Over the weekend a visitor to this Internet marketing blog requested that we implement the Top Commentators Plugin. He said that he would visit the site more often if we did.
We like the idea of more traffic and more comments so we implemented his suggestion and now show the top five commenters of the past week in our sidebar. As our blog grows we will expand our top commenters list from five to ten.

| Virtual Marketing Blog News - Some Big Stuff! | | 2007-07-11 04:49:45 | | In addition to the free marketing magazines available, there is some big news. Virtual Marketing Blog just cracked into Alexa’s Top 100,000 websites! Also, earlier this week the number of RSS subscribers has topped 100 for the first time! And on top of all that, you can now subscribe to the RSS feed using your email address.
I’d also like to announce that the blog is now going to be run by Luke Knowles who owns Kinoli, an interactive design, development and online marketing firm, and Nial McFadyen, a guy with a wealth of experience and knowledge in film and video marketing. I spoke on the phone with Luke and he seems like the type of guy that is passionate and dedicated - two traits needed for successful blogging. With the team taking over, this blog should grow incredibly fast. I’m still going to do a little bit of posting over the next 30 days or so.

| | Virtual Marketing Blog Theme Available for Download | | 2007-05-17 16:22:45 | | I’ve decided to release this blogs theme for public download. The footer contains sponsored links, like a linkback to this site, and I would appreciate it if you would leave the links there, but feel free to remove them.
I previously wrote about sponsoring themes for money and links, and I still think it is a great marketing technique. Technorati usually recognizes about 5-20 links for each template released. This technique is one of the major contributers to my sub-30,000 technorati ranking.
So feel free to download this theme and use it on your wordpress blog. I will continue using it for another a few months, then I’ll be purchasing a custom theme designed specifically for this site and around this sites content.
