First Walkman With a 5MP Camera Has Been Leaked
    2008-07-11 06:54:00
A couple of days ago, a picture of the upcoming Walkman branded handset leaked in the Internet... There was nothing much to look at on that picture, except that the phone is definitely Walkman branded, the form-factor is Candybar and that it is a black one :DBut now, through the Arabian Sony Ericsson community - SE4M.com we've got detailed leaks of the upcoming music phone from Sony Ericsson and guess what? It has a 5MP camera with Flash light... Isn't it what everybody wanted? Walkman phone with better camera, so looks like SE has cared about it...For now, there is not much to say about its specifications, besides of those visual characteristics which we can see on those pictures :)What we definitely know is that the phone is equipped with a 5MP camera and a flash light on its back... It has a front camera, which means the upcoming Walkman is surely 3G enabled. I guess the display of the phone is standard, which Sony Ericsson is putting in all its latest models - 262k color TFT with 2

Yet Another Walkman Leak - Sony Ericsson W595
    2008-07-04 21:25:00
It looks like that next mobile phone from Walkman line-up has appeared on the horizon and it looks like it is a successor of the Sony Ericsson W580 - Sony Ericsson W595.For now all I know is that, Sony Ericsson W595 will be A2 platform based, will feature Walkman 3 player and TrackID, FM Radio, Bluetooth with A2DP and USB mass storage, accelerometer and maybe aGPS with Google Maps.I think the size of the screen is pretty normal for housing dimensions like this and I guess its resolution will be 240x320 pixels with 262K colors, maybe 2.4 inch.Regarding the design of the handset, I only can say that I like it very much :D it's some kind of combination of the Sony Ericsson W580 and Sony Ericsson W910...[Source]

Another Leak of the Sony Ericsson's Handsets... This Time it's a Walkman
    2008-06-11 07:12:00
The hottest leak of the Sony Ericsson C905 has not been cooled down yet, while another leak of the Sony Ericsson's device has hit the Internet. The codename of this handset is "Alicia" and as we can see on the pictures this phone is from the Walkman line-up, made in a Clam-shell form-factor. Besides of those pictures, there is not much info about its specifications, but we can suppose that the specifications may be very similar to the latest phone from Walkman family Sony Ericsson W980. What we can say for sure that Alicia is 3G enabled, which is confirmed by the front camera for video calls. So, as I already have mentioned in this post, leaks of the Sony Ericsson's upcoming devices continues leaking before the announcement day (17 June), so if you don't want to overlook for more info about specifications or for other leaked handsets, you just need to subscribe to our RSS feed and stay tuned ;)

Hmm, let's see, it has GPS, motion control gaming, tri-band UMTS, and as can be expected from a Walkman phone---enhanced music experience. In short, all the features that can be found on a bulky PDA phone but bulky is what the Sony Ericsson W760 is not. It's a slider phone that only weighs 103 grams. One of the most notable features of the Sony Ericsson W760 is its gaming feature. It will allow you to play games in landscape mode with full stereo sounds from its speakers and dedicated buttons, much like a game console or you can also use its motion sensing capability to play cool games. If you're in Las Vegas and want to see the Sony Ericsson W760 f

The story of Sony and the Walkman
    2007-03-19 06:52:00
In January of 2007, sales of the Apple portable music player, iPod, reached a staggering 88.7 million units. Apple struck gold with their cleverly designed portable music system. Author’s note: my household has two of them (a 4GB mini and a 60GB). But we wouldn’t have iPods today if Akio Morita, co-founder of Sony, hadn’t given us the revolutionary portable music system known as “The Walkman”. The Walkman was not an instant success. Sony sold only 10% of its initial mass production. There was simply no demand for portable music in 1979. But Morita was convinced that the Walkman would eventually catch on, so he continued pushing the Walkman holding news conferences allowing members of the press to try the Walkman for themselves. “The public does not know what is possible—we do,” said Morita in his autobiography. Originally founded as Tokyo Teletech, Morita dreamed up the fictitious “Sony” moniker out of (nearly) thin air. He even had the logo printed in
