Why Warhammer online needs to to get it's tanks back
    2008-07-12 12:58:00
Knight of the Blazing Sun Inserito originariamente da Abriael While reading several forums about the changes in the Warhammer Online initial lineup, I came to realize that the issue that the biggest part of the community feels strongly about is the removal of the two tanking classes for the Empire and the Dark Elves: Knight of the Blazing Sun and Black GuardPersonally I agree with this view, completely. I can definately live without Lothern, the Black Ark, Karaz-a-Karak and Karak Eight Peaks, since the game seems to have plenty content and things to do wven without them (expecially since Mark Jacobs stated clearly that all four missing capital cities will be implemented as soon as possible trough free content updates), but the removal of the Knight of the Blazing Sun and the Black Guard is an hard cookie to chew on.The big problem seem to be about game mechanics, but the Warhammer Online fanbase isn't just composed of hardcore PvPers that care only about gameplay and how things

Does Warhammer Online really look like WoW?
    2008-07-10 11:23:00
WAR vs WOW Inserito originariamente da Abriael Every time there's a discussion about Warhammer Online in basically every kind of environment, you're bound to encounter someone that will pop in with the usual cliche "It looks like WoW!" in order to criticize the game. But does it really look like World of Warcraft? Leaving alone the fact that Blizzard was clearly inspired by Warhammer to some degree when creating the Warcraft universe and as such there might be some very loose similarity between the races (but that's common to many fantasy settings, not only Warhammer's and Wacraft's) the graphics of the two games have very little if not nothing in common, both in technology and in style. The differences between the art direction of the two games can be as well defined "extreme". The "legend" about WAR looking similar to WoW has been around a lot, and picked up so many times that the definition of "beating a dead horse" has been rewritten. But did the ones costantly jumping on

PC Gamer editor cries for no dancing in Warhammer Online
    2008-04-01 12:53:00
There's no dancing in WAR Inserito originariamente da Abriael Tim Edwards of PC Gamer (seemingly a pretty uninformed WoW fanboy) posted a quite colorful whine about the fact (that he passed as breaking news, while it's been known almost since the beginning of WAR's development) that there will be no dancing in Warhammer Online. Well, Sorry Tim. Warhammer online is about war. A meaningful war. It's not about silly looking night evles with lightbulbs in their eyes dancing the macarena. It's been a known fact since before the age of Adam and Eve, and guess what. Most of the Warhammer fans wholeheartedly approve. If you were looking for the next WoW in Warhammer Online, then you might as well look elsewhere. Next whiner please!

The long awaited MMO from Mythic is being delayed again until this fall. The reason for this delay is simple : they need more time to tweak some important aspects of the game. A contest at the PC Game Warhammer Online Forum
    2008-03-02 14:54:33
This is a perfect opportunity for those who loves to play computer video games. Well, I am actually one of the many who likes them, only I am slow and can't figure things out so well to win anything. However, my brother in law and one of my online friends are into playing computer games, and I found just the forum for them where they can win lots of great prizes. There are so many prices being given away continuously of WAR related gear and free game cards, and many more. I like the e-GeForce 8600GT graphics card because I have always heard about it being the superb graphics card. My brother in law would love to have it, as he was just talking about getting one. He didn't get to buy one yet, and since there is a way for him to win it, he would be happy to join the contest at the PC Game Warhammer Online Forum. It will be a way for a computer gamer like himself to join different contests that has continuous giveaway. So there you have it, if you are interested, be sure to see the forum
