The Bills will be without three key players - QB Trent Edwards, WR James Hardy and WR Roscoe Parrish - for this matchup, and the Colts are missing some starters as well, most prominently QB Peyton Manning.

DL - We'll have a good young core to start with, but the depth is questionable. Ferguson will be one more year closer to retirement, as will Vonnie Holliday, but Starks, Merling, and Langford should be a formidable starting front.
Vince Oghobaase, Duke - 6'6 310, the ideal size for a 3-4 NT. He plays in the ACC, so it should be easy for all of us to catch him in a game or two. Big guys like that are hard to miss.
Sen'Derrick Marks, Auburn - A big, hulking DT prospect that could become a 3-4 DE, 6'1 290. A little short, but makes up for it with bulk and quickness.

Graham Harrell, Tex Tech - most likely another system guy, but the numbers are ridiculous. Wouldn't be bad to take a flyer on him late and give him a couple years on the bench to develop into a good backup.
Nate Longshore, Cal - Big guy, strong arm, but actually got worse between sophomore and junior years. I'd like to see him perform this year without his top two WR's from the past couple of years.

Only in our biggest teal and black shaded fantasy worlds did we not think by trading up to the Top 10 that Harvey wasn’t going to get some absurd contract. ESPN made a big thing about Matt Ryan, but even Jake Long took a “below” market contract that still made him the highest paid lineman in the league.
Can you blame Derrick Harvey for wanting to get the cash that everyone else around him is? If and when a new CBA is signed, the only way rookie salaries will go down is through that. Until then, Top 10-15 picks are going to get large contracts.
Either way, if he comes out and has a 10-12 sack season I think this will all be behind us. However, what happens if this continues and he has a Mario Williams-esque rookie year? Well, lets not think of that yet.

Sure, it's hard to nail the 53-man roster man for man. But it's entertaining to attempt to do and provides some good food for thought.
With that in mind, I now present the "depth chart bubble watch." Much like how the "experts" of NCAA basketball attempt to predict the 65 teams that will make the NCAA Tournament, this will be a weekly feature in which I attempt to predict our final depth chart - at least, based on what players are currently in camp. Of course, we should also expect our roster to change as this front office attempts to "look under every rock" to find players who could upgrade the overall depth of the team.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and first round draft pick Derrick Harvey found themselves in an awkward situation with his potential signing. Harvey, selected 8th, found himself between two other unsigned players, The Saints Sedrick Ellis and Bengals Keith Rivers bracketed Harvey, which creates a sort of "Mexican Standoff" type of situation. Harvey is represented by Ken Kramer, a member of CAA, and will typically "slot" his players based on who signs before and after the draft spot. Unfortunately for Harvey and the Jaguars, the other agents were doing the same thing.
The impasse is now broken, Sedrick Ellis signed a 5 year, 19.5 million dollar contract with the Saints, and the high end of Harvey's contract is set.
