| Time to Whine | | 2008-03-31 09:08:54 | | Well, here we are. March 31st. Tomorrow April begins and the snow just keeps falling and falling and falling. My desk is stacked high, my motivation is low, and I'm supposed to a couple home visits an hour from here today. I'm not looking forward to driving through the storm. And Bart is leaving tomorrow for five days straight. That hasn't happened for a long time. I"m sure it will be fine, but I'm not looking forward to him being gone.So I guess I'm just going to whine a little. And now, I've done that, I guess I'll get on with my day.... | | By: Never a Dull Moment | | |
| | | Want some cheese to go with that WHINE? | | 2008-01-30 08:19:49 | | It has been a difficult time as of late. Not so much difficult as challenging really. Those who have chosen a path of learning and growth are always faced with challenges that assist in achieving that growth. We may not always like it, but we asked for it on some level.
I was reminded just [...]... | | By: MoonCave Crystals Musings

| Pearls Before Whine | | 2007-12-30 03:46:40 | | “Every pearl has its oyster.” - Randall Jarrell
I don’t believe in coincidence. I’ve gotten myself into quite a few prolonged conversations on that point; but the fact remains, for myself, there is only synchronicity and wisdom hidden amongst the layers of daily experience. It’s only up to us to look for them.

| | Liberals Whine about Rising University Tuition and Student Debt: Fail to Recognize the Problem is Big Government | | 2007-09-11 19:34:14 | | Barbara Ehrenreich of The Nation magazine recently wrote the typical liberal editorial. She addressed a problem and then stated we need to “do something about it.” The “do something about it” clearly involves government intervention to fix the crisis. Well, Ehrenreich and the Nation magazine fail to recognize that government is not the solution; government is the problem. Each year, many students pile on debt attending American universities. As tuition costs increase, the problem exacerbates. On average, students graduate with "$20,000 in debt," while others owe astronomical sums. In fact, some students are so deep in debt that they may spend decades paying off their loans, if they will ever be able to do it at all.Just to get an idea how high the prices are today, George Washington University now costs "$39,210 a year, or $50,000 with room and board." Some of these charges are intended to improve the indoctrination process. The universities call these extra fees "student activi... | | By: Copious Dissent - Your Daily Dose of Liberty | | |

My Mom got me one of those tree face kit things, you know, the ones you see in catalogs? The ones that cost too much? Well, they also sell them in stores and in stores they don’t cost too much. If you buy yours at Shopko they hardly cost at all.AnywayI found out that I didn’t have any nails in the house. I have a hammer the size of a three year old - I so need a super-sized hammer, I do so much home improvement. I think I bought it when I was still in an apartment. I must have had big ideas, or I watched too much Trading Places. Memories...Anyway. Nails. I needed nails. I was on my way to Lowe's when I went by Family Dollar. I really, really, really didn’t want to drive all the way to Lowe's for a box of nails. It would be wrong. Family Dollar came through for me and they gave me a selection of different kinds of nails. Who knew? I mean, once a up... | | By: Reading In The Dark
