From New Yorker Magazine:
Last month, eight hundred and seventy thousand photographs, illustrations, movies, maps, and other media from the New York City Municipal Archives were made public in an online archive, together forming a remarkable visual survey of the city from 1858 to the present. Uptown and downtown, highbrow and lowbrow, the collection contains photographs of everything from the Brooklyn Bridge under construction to Depression-era murder scenes to children enjoying the Central Park Zoo.

It has been a little while since I have been to these two lovely cities and what better time to visit than Spring :).
I will be there May 20-25 :).
Looking forward to seeing some old friends and making new ones.
New pictures are on my site and a Summer themed shoot is in the works. It will be so nice to be able to shoot outdoors again.

I hope you have all had a nice February.
It has been quite a busy but enjoyable month complete with a few little get-a-ways, here and there.
As always time is flying by.
I am also spending this time updating my website, actually, I am always tinkering around with it in some way or another but figured it is time for a new feel (so to speak). So, a new site is in the works and will be finished soon, as well as new photos. New feel for Spring :)

Every year is characterized by one of the twelve Chinese zodiacs and this New Year is a big one. The dragon in Chinese mythology brings good fortune and power. Dragons are fearless, ambitious, passionate and self-assured. 2012 is that of the water-dragon and it only happens every 6 decades. According tradition the water cools down the dragon leading them for to step back and calmly see things for what they are..
It is meant to be a year of big ideas, passion and creativity.
Who would want things any other way.

The former Saint Jakobus Church, a municipal monument, located in Utrecht, Netherlands is not what it appears to be from its exterior facade. Originally built in 1870 the church holds a lot of historical value.
The current owners hired renowned Utrecht-based firm of ZECC Architects to transform the church into a home with a great attention to light, space and functionality. The interior design was done by Thomas Haukes to compliment the original style and proportions of the space.
Interesting... Certainly unique.
