2010-04-03 07:37:00
This was my first camping trip at Guintubdan, La Carlota. We spent 3 days and 2 nights. Trekking from spring to abaga falls and to oro falls. After the trek, I spent my nights having a fever, my body was aching, and just curling not to feel cold. But I'm thankful i have recovered in that very morning with a little cold, sneezing, but still manage to swim in the spring.A view of the Canlaon Volcano going to Guintubdan, right is the lobby of the Guintubdan Resort.300 steps down to Guintubdan Falls. Small Homecoming Celebration in La Carlota
2010-03-31 03:11:00
After a couple of months from working at Cebu, I went to La Carlota for relaxation and of course to eat Rambutan (Southeast Asian Fruit Tree). Sadly I don't have enough pictures since we're enjoying the place...My motorcycle taste how is it like to run on a grassy field. We have just finished swimming from the river called Linao Bubong.Take a couple of pictures before we ride off to the rest house. It seems that we're going to be busy picking and eating a lot of these rambutan. It seems I am not the only one who's going to be busy.. heheThis simple trip of ours to La Carlota makes a good relaxation for a stressful work....

Cauayan Escapade

Our first ever trip to Cauayan, Negros Occidental (3rd wk of Jan. 2009). It is a 3 hours trip from Bacolod City (Negros Occidental Capital City) to South of Negros Occidental. During these time of our trip, Cauayan was celebrating its festivital called Lubay-lubay, a local dialect which means bamboo swaying. Cauayan came from the word kawayan (ka-wa-yan) which is a bamboo tree, that's why there festival is called lubay-lubay or bamboo swaying. We were just a group of simple individuals enjoying the nature. Thanks for Henry for accommodating us in there place at Cauayan. There primary source of income was fishing and farming. Just as the picture shown above-right, you will enjoy new catchA view from the top. We're situated near the light house with a nice view of the place. Cool!A nice vie...
